Action and intense suspense!

RUN AND HIDE starts a new series with a new protagonist by British author Alan McDermott. McDermott introduces CIA agent Eva Driscoll who is out for retribution for the death of her brother. The unlikely story is extremely fast paced and action packed. I really like McDermott's Alan Gray series; this one promises to be as good. I am not a fan of narrator Angela Dawe whose narration here is okay.

Mind Bending !!!

This is a must read! An absolutely great book with plenty of suspense, action and plot twists ! The characters were smart, strong and very appealing. I haven't read a novel this good in a long time. Hero's were launched and I'm looking forward to the next installment in this series.

Great performance the narrator was really able to give each character a distinct sound. I enjoyed the story progression it kept moving right along. Can't wait to read the next book in the series.

fastest way to ruin a great author

I love this author. Her writing is amazing, on the edge of my seat. This narrator is in the top 1% of awful. Every sentence should not be read as if it is the end of the world. Ms. Dawe, please learn to narrate. you are ruining the one pleasure I have left in my old life: listening to books.

Duty Honor Revenge

I love this narrator and with over 100 of her reads, I have seen Ms Dawe get better and better!
Do not miss her Marcia Clark series, even reviewer Wayne liked it! Narrator maybe growing on him too.
I do use the 1.25x speed often to match the authors intent, and his choice for Ms Dawe does not disappoint. Her accents are spot on and you are right there in England or Italy even for the short chapter. Her male voices are great, which is why I am a big fan.
In fact, I did use 1x speed half way into this book so I did not miss any of the action, this one is packed with it. See Amazon book reviews for author testimonials!
This book is a fast pace adventure with a heroine to cheer! For us ladies who did not have a big bother to watch out for us, and wanted one, this heroine sets a picture of a smart, determined and focused woman who does not have NO in her vocabulary. She defines ruthlessness!
Would greatly appreciate Book #2 with Ms Dawe narrating to come soon, thank you Audible.

Awesome read and Awesome narration..

Wow! What a great book. Eva Driscoll, a CIA agent, could seriously kick some butt. And along with her men, Colback, Sonny, and Smart, as well as another teammate that I can’t tell you about, they killed a lot of bad guys.

This was about the ESO, Executive Security Office, a group of Billionaires and one Trillionaire who pretty much run the world and they had anyone killed that even thought about getting in their way. Unfortunately, Henry Langton, the Trillionaire, made the mistake of having Eva’s brother killed and that brought on a war.

There was a surprise at the end and a lot of unanswered questions but we won’t see any answers until November 14th.

There was no romance and the F-bomb was used 24 times.

As to the narration: Angela Dawe was absolutely wonderful. Every man had his own voice so you knew who was talking without the book telling you. She’s one of my top 5 female narrators.
