About this listen

We last left Rumpole in his hospital bed after his sudden collapse in court. Now our hero finds himself in the Primrose Path nursing home - or a hospice as he persists in describing it. Things aren't looking good for Rumpole - until suddenly he begins to sense there's something wrong with the place, and all his intelligence and formidable insight into human behaviour come to the fore again. And once he has solved the mystery of the Primrose Path nursing home, Rumpole finds the briefs fly thick and fast again.

This collection of six Rumpole stories shows the legendary advocate on top form.

Always enjoy these, so well written , anecdotes on Horace Rumpole. This time , with the added advantage I hadn't heard these episodes before. For some reason much easier listening than the last Rumpole Audible I listened to..which seemed very indistinct..

Entertaining and witty, as usual.

Predictably funny and warm and sharp. Excellent narration too. Highly recommend these stories for those needing a pick-me-up.

Relaxing

Another fine collection of Rumpole shorts.

Read wonderfully by Bill Wallace who captures John Mortimer's peerless prose and Leo McKern’s superb TV portrayal pitch-perfectly.

Excellent as ever
