Summary

Love struck me at the early age of five. The boy turned into a man, and I fell even deeper. Guy Webb had no idea my fragile heart belonged to him for so many years. He was too busy being my brother’s best friend and a star on the football field. He was my daydream and consumed every single thought, but he was always one step from my reach.

Beartooth Ranch was our home. The rich ranch land raised us, fostered our laughs and losses, and even gained a new family member when Guy moved in for his sophomore year of high school.

I hid my love for years. But now he’s back. Guy Webb returned a broken soldier after serving his country all over the atlas. And now it’s my job to help him heal.

My family lost everything with his return, and I can only hope I survive it.

What a beautiful story!

Its a story of young love, best friends, family, war, heartache, healing and love. So many emotions listening to Royal Atlas. The location: a ranch. The chracters are all so great and Molly and Guy's love is epic and the author shows us years after they get together, their won kids. It's really beautiful to listen to... I ugly cried at the end.

More of a family story than a romance.

Sweet story which spans the entire life of the main characters and some secondary characters from childhood to senior years.

LOVED IT!

Audiobook review. LOVED this story. Couldn’t have had a better introduction to a ‘new to me’ author. The tale was beautifully crafted with a plot that really held my attention consistently. At 5 hr 50 min it’s on the shorter side yet it manages to use the page/air space extremely well.

The main characters, Guy and Molly, were complex and flawed. They had huge hearts that were made for one another. I loved how they developed their feelings and that Guy especially didn’t play any emotional games. They had quite a few challenges to overcome and the journey was more than worth it.

I cried. I laughed. My heart was full. I cried again. I am looking forward to the next story even though I fully expect to bawl my eyes out. 😭

The narrators, Lacy Laurel and Jeremy York, did a wonderful job. The pace, tone, and pitch were on point. The voices matches and transitioned between genders well.

Royal Atlas

I've read a few HJ Bellus books and they all seems to have a whole lot of heartache and a whole lot of love. This book wasn't any different. Molly and Guy grew up together. Molly's older brother was Guy's best friend. When Guy & Amos went off to the military together, only Guy came home, and the entire family including Guy had to learn to live again. There were a roller coaster ride of emotions, but I would read it over and over again. Their love was so solid, from childhood, and the love from their family made it that much better.

The audio for this was solid. Such a great performance by Lacy Laurel and Jeremy York.

Two words. Big. Cry.

Bring the tissues! This book is one big emotional roller coaster! Only one other book has ever made me cry like this one did. This book could possibly have some triggers (war related).

Very well written and preformed very well! I am a big horse person and usually can’t listen to books about horses because the terminology and most everything else horse related, is wrong. This one wasn’t bad at all, just a few little things, but overall, it didn’t bother me.

Smiles and tears!

A lovely, generation spanning tale of love, family and commitment, well told by Lacy Laurel and Jeremy York. There are times when Lacy Laurel talks a little to quickly for me, but she brings warmth and sincerity to her performance. I always love listening to Jeremy York, whose pace and expression always catches my attention and focus on the words spoken.
This is a story that will make you cry as well as laugh and feel happy. A lovely listen filled with characters I came to love. Molly, Amos and Guy are indeed, something special.

Heartbreak and Love ........ Grab your tissues

This book is gut wrenching. I never knew how much I could cry while listening to this amazing story by H.J Bellus. She is a first time author for me. This story takes us on the journey of the Princess and the Cowboy. Hop and Guy! Hop is a tag a log with her brother Amos and his friend Guy. The story starts out in the years 2052, which threw me off but Tessie's daughter Belle asked her Grandma Molly about BearTooth Ranch. Molly then goes into telling the story of her love for family, the ranch, Guy.
They story follows their lives from the beginning to the end. I cried, I laughed and cried more. I never laughed so hard hearing Guy being drunk with his Army buddies, and telling Hop to ride him like Seabisquit. I need to laugh.
This is one book I was so sad that ended! I wanted it to go on and on!
The narrators were A++++++! Lacy Laurel and Jeremy York nailed this book. They kept my attention, They played the characters very well. I can't wait to hear more from both of them as well as more books from H.J. Bellus.

Heartbreakingly sweet

Warning: this book will make you ugly cry! It is so beautiful and so touching but has parts that will bring you to your knees. Being able to see the main couple and their family go full circle was absolutely amazing!

The narration was fantastic! The way Lacy brought out all of the emotions in her voice was amazing! I'm fairly certain hearing the crying in her voice made me cry!

Warm country romance

This is the first book I’ve read from this author and I really loved the writers style. The story is about family, loss and true love that never dies and carries on in each generation. I don’t want to give any spoilers, but if you like stories that really touch your emotions, you will love this audiobook. Narration was well done.

Weight of The World

Molly and Guy are a story for the ages. Once upon a time there was a girl that followed her rough and tumble brother and his sweet and charming friend anywhere and everywhere. She was a pest to her brother as all tagalong little sisters are, but Guy always seemed to make her feel like like his special little Hop. As they grew the boys obvious changed into cocky swaggering so and sos but Guy always seemed to have a special place for his girl Hop no matter what life was throwing at them. When they left for the service she was understandably distraught but proud of them, but by now she had long since fallen for the sweet, kind, and handsome Guy. It’s just a shame he had always seen her as his little sidekick. Until it becomes evident that this isn’t the case. Guy has always had fires that burned deep for Ms Molly, but didn’t want to risk losing his family and her to pursue them. When they give in to what’s been a long time coming it can only be seen as destiny fulfilled by most and happiness is assure until fate plays an an cruel hand on them. As they learn to live in the aftermath, will they find a way to love and heal together?

Narration- Jeremey and Lacy as per usual do a sensational job bringing these characters to life. You will feel sucked into the story with their delivery of all the feels.

Molly and Guy!

Molly has loved her brother’s best friend Guy since she was a child and although her brother treated her as an irritating little sister Guy always stood up for her and included her in what they were doing. As a teenager she watched him date other girls and it broke her heart, but he finally noticed her and they made plans for their future together after he and her brother returned from the war.

When tragedy strikes Molly’s entire family is devastated but the heartbreak deepens when Guy returns home physically injured but the emotional injuries that were so much worse. This is an emotional story about loss, healing and learning to live again. These two are soulmates and although their journey was far from easy it is beautiful and won’t leave you untouched.

I thought the narrators did a great job with this story. They made you feel like you were experiencing it with the characters and you could feel the emotions that they felt. I received a complimentary copy of this book from the narrator.
