Summary

After months of caring for her terminally ill mother, Rebecca Rivera is left all alone in a world she doesn't trust - but she's determined not to let her mother's death define her. Losing her job, having to pummel some jerk for being too handsy, and living in her car are just temporary setbacks to an otherwise solid plan in finding her footing. Full of pride and used to being in control of her life, she's certain she can make it on her own. The last thing Rebecca needs is a man to fix her troubles - even if that man is strikingly handsome, wealthy, and charismatic Pierce Braden.

Pierce is a powerful real estate investor on the verge of a major acquisition. As the eldest of six siblings raised by a single mother, he's spent his life protecting those he loves. He's used to being in charge and making things right, and although he'd give his life for his family, he treats the women he dates as expendable - until he meets sexy and stubborn Rebecca Rivera, a woman who is as strong as she is vulnerable.

Passion ignites between them, and the two share their most intimate thoughts and desires. It doesn't take long for Pierce to realize that Rebecca is as determined not to be saved as he is to find a way into her heart. As their love grows, Rebecca must face fears she didn't even realize she had - and Pierce must learn the hard truth that sometimes less really is more. Is the power of true love enough for Rebecca and Pierce to learn to give up control and allow their hearts to take over?

When opposites attract

Pierce is the oldest of the Trusty Braden's and a successful business man, Rebecca is a trying to rebuild her life after the death of her mother. They meet by chance which leads to a budding romance. They each have hurdles to cross, Pierce has the urge to do everything for Rebecca, as he has done for his family. A lovely story and another great addition to the Braden family.

Beautiful Love Story ❤️

Another hit from Melissa Foster! Rebecca and Pierce met by chance and are from two different worlds and both love to be in control. This is their beautiful story of getting to know each other, getting through some tough things going on in Rebecca's life and learning how to love each other and give up a little control. I loved their journey. It was sad, fun and hot! We also get to spend a little time with the Braden family, which I always love and look forward to. The narration was great and makes the story! I can't wait to listen to the next book!

3.5 Stars

Not surprising this book was a rags to riches, hero wants to take care of heroine, save her, protect her. But I felt like it was too good to be true. I felt like Pierce didn't do his due diligence with this relationship. He fell so hard, so fast. It just didn't feel real. It felt too fairytale-ish.

The one aspect I really enjoyed was watching Rebecca take down the guy in the bar and then watching her confront her fears and what was holding her back from Pierce. She is such a strong female character, both physically and mentally. It was good to see her struggling with her concerns/fears.

This is yet another BJ Harrison narration. Pierce reminded me a lot of Treat. So many similarities between them. So it was good to see Treat in this book and to see them interact together.

Low angst, sweet and steamy

Audiobook: Narrator - B.J. Harrison

An excellent narration by Mr. Harrison. He did an exceptional job of both the male and female characters. A small part had an accent and I thought he did a great job of that although I have struggled with one of his accents in a previous book. Guess it’s all in what type of accent.

This was such a sweet, although plenty steamy, story of a couple that captured my heart right from the start. Rebecca was so determined and I have to admit, there was a time or two I had to grit my teeth at her. Pierce didn’t quite know what to do with a woman like her. But it didn’t take him long to figure out he didn’t want to let her go.

I felt deeply connected to these characters and loved seeing them with the secondary characters as they each waded through not only their relationship but what life was throwing at them. The drama is low with it revolving around what they were dealing with between themselves. This story absolutely sizzles as this couple moves from casual to more and I loved the love between them.

Another Hit for Melissa Foster

I received this audiobook free for an honest review. Melissa Foster gave us another special story in her Braden Series. Rebecca has her secrets, as lots of relationships do. Poor Rebecca and Rich Pierce. However, love knows on boundaries. Great book, couldn't put it down. The narrator did an excellent job with the characters, their personalities and the overall story.

Two strong people struggling to accept love.......

Romancing My Love is part of the overall Love in Bloom Series by Melissa Foster, but it can easily be read as a standalone. Of all the books in this series that I have read this far, this one had the least amount of interaction between characters from previous books. However, I still felt the usual sense of love and importance of family that is the underlying theme of all Melissa Foster books. In Romancing My Love, we have two completely stubborn, independent people used to caring for others at the expense of themselves. Rebecca gave up her job, her apartment and pretty much her entire life for 10 months to nurse her mother while she died of cancer. Pierce Braden is a millionaire resort owner and the oldest in his family, used to taking care of his younger siblings from a young age. Although Rebecca has lost everything and is living in her car when she meets Pierce, she has a fierce spirit and is determination to succeed without any outside help. From the minute he meets her, all Pierce longs to do is wrap her in the safety of his arms and make all her problems disappear. You can see the problem with them falling in love.

Luckily, with her usual grace and style, Melissa Foster allows Pierce to slowly open Rebecca's mind to the possibility of accepting his love, and he learns to understand that her independence doesn't mean that she doesn't need and love him. I enjoyed watching the push and pull between Rebecca and Pierce, and I was worried several times that they wouldn't overcome their differences, but that just made me cherish their HEA even more. The heat level in the story is high, and Foster writes her intimate scenes with the perfect combination of spicy and sweet. The entire Braden crew arrives towards the end of the book, and it was their welcoming love towards her that sealed the deal for Rebecca and Pierce. I am, as always, anxiously awaiting the next book in the series.

As much as you can depend on Melissa Foster to deliver a wonderful story, you can equally depend on an enchanting narration by BJ Harrison. He narrates most of the books in this series, and he has truly become the voice of the Braden Family for me. His delivery is smooth, his performance is flawless, and his portrayal of the emotions of the story is heartfelt. The combination of Harrison and Foster is a guaranteed hit.

I received a copy of this audiobook at my request in exchange for this honest review.

Pierce and Rebecca

Pierce and Rebecca are a couple who shouldn’t have crossed paths. They come from very different backgrounds and very different life experiences.......yet they work! Not only do they completely balance each other they need each other to work. Melissa Foster does it again!

The audio is a great way to enjoy this book. The narrator is easy to listen to.

Pierce and Rebecca

Rebecca does not like to give up control easily. Pierce also has a problem with giving up control. When a chance meeting brings these two together, Pierce is intrigued about the women who punched a guy in a bar. As their relationship builds, will Rebecca let go of some of her control and let Pierce in, or will Pierce’s need to take care of Rebecca put a wedge between them.

I loved how two strong characters find a balance to a happily ever after! Another wonderful Braden story by Melissa Foster!

Beautiful Story!

This is the third book in The Bradens at Trusty Series, a sub-series of the amazing Love in Bloom Series. Rebecca and Pierce's story is beautifully written. They are opposites attract, but and they are perfect together. Rebecca is strong, and determined, but alone, and vulnerable. Pierce is handsome, alpha, supportive, protective, and caring. The storyline has a great pace. I loved to follow them in their romantic journey. I like the strong bond in the family, and the friendship in this story. BJ Harrison did a great job with the narration. I enjoyed it. Looking forward to listen to the next book in the Series, Flirting with Love.

Enjoyable

I enjoyed the story and the narration. I would have preferred more excitement between the couple, or just two narrators would have provided the exchange I was looking for. Don’t get me wrong, it was a very enjoyable listen and I listen to it twice before doing this review. I am definitely going to listen to more by this author.
