In a career spanning nearly 50 years, Isaac Asimov - science writer, historian, and futurist - accurately predicted how technological breakthroughs would be developed and utilized, years before they became reality. Try it and know clues
Asimov was on time, on point, a man, racing ahead of women. Should he have? You decide.
A very well written account of all things are possible but not always predictable, and or probable.

Old familiar stories
I have no complaints about the narration, it seems to me to be appropriate to the period the stories were written. My chief annoyance is that the chapters aren’t named. The is very frustrating.

My introduction to Asimov
I've never read or listened to works of Asimov before and this edition has ignited a curious search for more of his work. At no point did I ever feel the writing/dialogue was dated, the science is accurate for it's time and the stories feel just as relevant today as they ever did.
It's prompted me to pick up his novels when I've been out and about and book stores and I'm a convert. I'd likely pick up a physical copy of this too.
My only concerns with this edition was that the narration had taken a little while before I got used to it. But then I soon felt it fit the stories.
The frustrating thing was that the individual short stories/chapters aren't listed. I never knew whether Chapter 4 would be a continuation of what I was listening to or the beginning of the next story.

A blast from the past.
I loved reading Asimov in my teens and now in later life I'm enjoying having them read for me, especially when they are so well read.
Exllent job from George Guildall, thankyou for bringing the stories to life. My only qualms about the book was it didn't include more of Isaac Asimovs robot stories, but that would have been down to the great man himself I guess.

Super stories-not a dull moment
Every story thought provoking. Serious points made but with Isaacs usual sense of humour and insight into human behaviour. Also some education in there as well but done in such an entertaining way you don't realise your being educated!
