Summary

Genevieve Daylee didn’t expect to be standing in front of a judge on her 27th birthday. But ever since her life became entangled with a former motorcycle gang, she’s learned not to expect anything but trouble.

Her mother, a woman she once admired and adored, is gone, leaving behind a trail of secrets and lies. She’s living in a tiny apartment above a garage owned by her brother, a man who loathes her very existence. And the father she met beside her mother’s grave is as much of a stranger as Isaiah Reynolds, the broken man with soulless eyes standing beside her in front of the judge.

Isaiah is her protector from the murderer at large in Clifton Forge. Though he’s more like a riven knight in dented armor than a prince on a white stallion. She knows next to nothing about him, other than he works as a mechanic. As of tonight, he’ll be sharing her bathroom.

And, according to the judge, Isaiah is now her husband.

🎧 Genevieve and Isaiah 🎧

Book 2 in the Tin Gypsies romantic suspense series, starts with a secret wedding. Great storytelling and character development, and wonderful narration from both Maxine Mitchell and Jason Clarke.

An intense chapter in the Tin Gypsy story.

It seems that every Devney Perry gets better than the last. I'm still kicking myself for not jumping on this author's train quicker than this.

Before I read Stone Princess, I wanted to read the other books in this series. Yes, in theory they could be read as standalones. But there is an overarching storyline underneath at least the first two books. So while you can read this without reading Gypsy King, I'd highly recommend reading it first.

Riven Knight picks up more or less where Gypsy King picks up and the drama from that story bleeds into this one. Isaiah and Genevieve were side characters in Gypsy King. The action starts right away as they get married. It goes on from there in a rollercoaster of drama.

Isaiah and Genevieve both have broken pasts. Genevieve's we learn about in book 1, Isaiah we learn about here.

We do get answers to what happened in book 1 here. It wasn't as prominent as I wanted it to be and it set up book 3 kinda nicely.

I'm excited to start Stone Princess right away.

Maxine Mitchell and Jason Clarke really brought these characters to life.

Good listen for over atlantic flights

Story is I guess best described as ok. Didnt rock my world and was little boring but I soldiered on. I felt there was hotter stuff going on between heroine and interior desinging than heroine and hero. At first sex scene in chapter 17 I called it quits. Maybe I am spoiled but I find hotter romance from harlequin. Definitely not worth the credit unless you need babbling on for 12 hours.

Solid slow burn romance

I enjoyed how this story. This is book 2 of the series involving two strangers who come together to protect each other. This will not win the Pulitzer Prize in literature, but it is an entertaining weekend listen with excellent narration by Mitchell and Clarke. If you are looking for a story with lots of steam and alpha male personas this is not the book for you. It is an easy, slow build romance with a touch of intrigue.

Loving the Tin Gypsy series!

Devney Perry has written a wonderful story in the Tin Gypsy series based on Isaiah and Genevieve. Maxine Mitchell and Jason Clarke bring to life a marriage of convenience set in motion by a kidnapping and murder. Do not miss how Isaiah and Genevieve find love through the truth of the secrets they are keeping.

Great Series

Well the question I thought was unanswered was actually answered and the lead up to it explains a lot with an unexpected villian in the end. No spoilers from me. Love the narrators/narration.

Fantastic Series! Loved Isaiah & Genevieve

If you enjoyed the first book in this series you’re going to love this one even more!
Devney Perry hit me with all the feels.
Isaiah and Genevieve will pull at your heart strings and had me with tears in my eyes. I could feel their pain deep in gut and it shook me. They were perfect together and blossomed into a beautiful couple in their slow burn romance. Absolutely loved it.
Jason Clarke and Maxine Mitchell are two of my go to narrators and listening to them tell this story was magical. I could envision all of it as clear as day. Beautiful story with the perfect amount of suspense to keep you on your toes, add to that, the fantastic narration and you can’t help but devour it!

My questions answered!

Enjoyed the 2nd book and all my questions were answered! I don't want to spoil it but I was very surprised who the killer was. Father truly loved them all. Read this book, its worth it.

More MC adjacent than MC but still great 👍

Great audio version, narration kicked ass. Was satisfied that the killer was brought to justice, you wouldn't have seen that coming, but heartbroken over Draven 💔. I understand his reasoning but still sad. I am leaning towards the next book in the series if only to catch up with the Tin Gypsy family. The author 's work is entertaining and that's what I want when I read or listen. Would definitely recommend but you really must start with book 1 Gypsy King.
