About this listen

Genevieve Daylee didn’t expect to be standing in front of a judge on her 27th birthday. But ever since her life became entangled with a former motorcycle gang, she’s learned not to expect anything but trouble.

Her mother, a woman she once admired and adored, is gone, leaving behind a trail of secrets and lies. She’s living in a tiny apartment above a garage owned by her brother, a man who loathes her very existence. And the father she met beside her mother’s grave is as much of a stranger as Isaiah Reynolds, the broken man with soulless eyes standing beside her in front of the judge.

Isaiah is her protector from the murderer at large in Clifton Forge. Though he’s more like a riven knight in dented armor than a prince on a white stallion. She knows next to nothing about him, other than he works as a mechanic. As of tonight, he’ll be sharing her bathroom.

And, according to the judge, Isaiah is now her husband.

It seems that every Devney Perry gets better than the last. I'm still kicking myself for not jumping on this author's train quicker than this.

Before I read Stone Princess, I wanted to read the other books in this series. Yes, in theory they could be read as standalones. But there is an overarching storyline underneath at least the first two books. So while you can read this without reading Gypsy King, I'd highly recommend reading it first.

Riven Knight picks up more or less where Gypsy King picks up and the drama from that story bleeds into this one. Isaiah and Genevieve were side characters in Gypsy King. The action starts right away as they get married. It goes on from there in a rollercoaster of drama.

Isaiah and Genevieve both have broken pasts. Genevieve's we learn about in book 1, Isaiah we learn about here.

We do get answers to what happened in book 1 here. It wasn't as prominent as I wanted it to be and it set up book 3 kinda nicely.

I'm excited to start Stone Princess right away.

Maxine Mitchell and Jason Clarke really brought these characters to life.

An intense chapter in the Tin Gypsy story.

Riven Knight is the second book in the Clifton Forge series by Devney Perry. After reading Dash’s book i was exciting to continue read the series to see where the side plot was going.
I’m loving this series because it isn’t just about each couple getting together but has a mystery thrown in to each book and this one was no different. I was hooked on what was going to happen next or how the story would work itself out.
Isaiah and Genevieve are perfect together. Isaiah had such good character development over the course of this book and I truly feel in love him. He was so broken but his love for Genevieve helped him come back to life.
I’m so excited to continue with this series and see where the stories take me!

Loved it
