AUDIBLE REVIEW 23
Really sad listening to this but also gripping for such a short story.
The nastiness and greed of humanity is sometimes not balanced enough. I hope they all suffer in prison.
I also hope that Jack and Mika come back from what was done to them. Though the loss of Ava to Jack and their future possibilities is enormous.
I would have loved to have Eve deal with them all, especially that smirking Kiki.
BOOK REVIEW
Very short and sad.
Another innocent, brutally tormented and killed for a ritual. Other innocents used and damaged.
But Eve cuts through the dross very quickly and arrests those responsible.
Roarke is involved, as his hotel and employees were used by the killers. He brings in an old acquaintance to help.
Though it is fast paced and gripping, I only gave this four starts as it is just too short and I really wanted to see Eve grill and pulverise the main leader.
Saying that I have owned most of these books in paperback for years but now have them all in eBook format, so I am rereading this series once more in order, updating and replacing missing reviews.
Even knowing what is in the future, it is absolutely no hardship to reread this series and I am really enjoying how all the characters are growing and changing.

Gripping for such a short story.
