Summary

When a group of strangers purchase land on Tortola and Norman Island to set up a commune, the locals simply write them off as an odd sort - until one of their bloated bodies washes up on the shore of a nearby resort island.

As luck would have it, Jesse McDermitt is visiting a friend on Norman Island after tracking a terrorist submarine from the Windward Islands. The sub was destroyed by locals on the Dutch island of Saba, so Jesse had nothing much else to do. What he wasn’t looking for was a murderous cult at the center of a drug manufacturing and distribution ring.

If a person didn’t succumb to the rules of this cult, they might end up riding the chum sluice. If they did, they might meet Jesse.

One of my FAVORITES in this series!!!!

Wayne Stinnett's 15th book in the Jessie McDermitt series is minimally on par if not one of the best in this series. Actually, it is FANTASTIC!!!!
The publisher's summary gives more than enough information and I don't want to spoil this for anyone. One of the things I really enjoyed is the way Stinnett intertwines pieces of his Charity Styles books with the Jessie McDermitt books. But I got a bigger kick out of his character interaction with those from Nick Sullivan's first book Deep Shadow and his dive masters.
This has some great action and moves at a fast pace.
Nick Sullivan does an excellent job narrating.
Very HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

One of the best of the series!

Author Wayne Stinnett has continued to release an average of one novel every three months for the last four years. Most have been in the Jesse McDermitt series, but several have been in the spinoff Charity Styles series. The fact that the author has not lapsed into writing by formula is surprising. RISING WATER is a fast moving novel with a strong plot line. Nick Sullivan continues to narrate all of Stinnett novels. Sullivan is superb.

Wayne,
I hope you get this. This is by far your best book. I has been great to see you and Jessie grow and mature as writer and lead character. I look forward to your next adventure.

Great series!

I really enjoy these stories. I am not a diver, nor do I wish to be. I have always loved the ocean and often sailed when younger, but on the California coast. The different situations of the main character are very exciting and I enjoy the mystery and adventure. Considering that I am seventy-five and have no experience with guns or physical fighting, you would think I would find all that non interesting. But on the contrary! I love to listen to all the actions and preparations. It keeps me spell bound and sitting on the edge of my seat at times. Thank you for many hours of very enjoyable listening.
