Summary

It'd been a long time; a lot of things had changed. Since sailing away from Cane Garden Bay, Jesse McDermitt had changed. Waking one morning, the smell of rum still on his breath, Jesse realizes he doesn't much like the change anymore. The mask that he'd freely put on didn't fit right. It was the mask of a drifting, womanizing boat bum, and it concealed his inner turmoil. Peeling off the mask, he soon realizes what a mess he's in.

Weeks of rigorous, open-ocean swims and increasingly deeper free dives helped put the strength back in his body. But physical strength wasn't what was lacking. It wasn't what had finally pulled him into a lifestyle that wasn't his. He'd lost focus on the important things in life, the need to be part of something better.

In a secluded anchorage, far from civilization, Jesse powers up his satellite phone for the first time in weeks. There is a message from Charity Styles, asking him for a meeting. She has a line on something they both need, something to focus on. A mission.

From award-winning story-teller Wayne Stinnett comes this 14th novel in his exciting Caribbean Adventure Series. Taking the reader from the deep-water canyons of Exuma Sound to the sport-fishing Mecca that is Bimini, Stinnett spins a fascinating tale of redemption and vengeance.

Action and Adventure!

I can't believe I missed the release of Wayne Stinnet's latest book in the Jesse McDermmitt series. This book was released 2/11/19. This is the 14th in the series. If you haven't followed this series this book work well as a stand alone. Stinnet is taking this series in a whole new direction and this book is the beginning. Being a diehard I of course would suggest listening to the entire series. They're really good books.
They direction might be changing but this story like the others is fast paced and action packed.
After wandering for a year on a self imposed exile Jesse finds himself out of shape and tired of alcohol and young women with more boobs then brains. He takes his dog and his boat and rehabs himself back into shape. He meets up with his old friend Charity who tells him they have a long time job offer but other then a time and place for a meet with potential employer the details are vague.
With the rest of his team all together they investigate they wealthy prospective employer and with a few kinks it looks like the gang has a new calling.
Nick Sullivan does an outstanding job narrating.
My HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION.
