Justine is running for her life. Escaping a city and a man, she heads north to the valleys of the Highlands. Michael and Hannah are also running, with their two sons and their tattered marriage. They are looking for somewhere they can call home. In an ancient landscape, a shocking accident causes their lives to intertwine. Tangled together in threads of guilt and love, with Scotland rushing towards a referendum and the community fracturing, they must all face their ghosts.©2015 Karen Campbell (P)2015 W F Howes Ltd Genre Fiction Kurgu Literary Fiction

Really good listen and a great narration. First I found the different sides of the story a bit confusing: a girl running away form something, an accident, the Scottish referendum, god. However, well into the story it all fits. I really enjoyed this listen.

Gripping!

Disappointing after Papercup. This story has an awful lot of bitterness going on. A bit of a rant to my way of thinking. Too irritating for me anyway. I think maybe a different narrator might have helped, Caroline Guthrie is a very strong voice, but its all a bit samey. I’ll sent it back. Sorry.

I couldn’t bring myself to listen to this one
