Summary

White knuckles. Sweat. Heart pounding in his chest. Drake knew there was no turning back now. It was his first time, and he needed to be the best.

When Drake escaped, all he wanted was his freedom. The omega wolf wasn’t interested in being tied down, not even to the Alpha of his pack. However, when he runs low on cash, the blonde-haired wanderer decides to participate in an amateur rodeo. With the prize money, he can keep his independence.

There’s just one problem. He’s never ridden a bull in his life.

Dark-haired Gabe is an alpha with a past filled with loss and pain. It’s hardened him to the outside world and left him with little tolerance for his own kind. As a loner, he’s spent the past decade enjoying isolation on his ranch.

However, everything changes when Drake comes asking for a teacher. Gabe finds his awakening desires want to show the young omega so much more than just bull riding. Sparks fly, and when the dust settles, these two studs will have to decide if it’s time to put aside their pasts and blaze a new trail together.

Average ok book

The story is ok, the emotions are there, the environment is described but I’m not there, not invited. Just watching from a distance. I can't exactly say why. And the narrator doesn't help me get there either.

Maybe it is just me.

as good as the ebook

The story is always 4 or 5 stars, because if I wouldn't like the story as ebook, I wouldn't listen to the audiobook.

The performance from the narrator is also very important for me. I can't listen to a lot, because my English as a non-native-speaker isn't so perfect to follow a whole story over hours, when the narrator speaks too fast or too sloppy. Normally I have to SEE the person, who is talking to me in English. It took me a little bit, to come into the narrator, but at the end, it worked. I only have to take a few breaks between. I'm just not yet finish with the book, but I listen enough to give a review.

PLEASE READ MY RATING SYSTEM!!!

To my ratings:

5* - very very good
it's like an A+

4* - very good and will be often re-listening
it's like an A

3* - it's more then a one-time-listening.
it's like a B

Gabe and Drake

First time author and narrator and they did a wonderful job bringing Drake a omega wolf who leaves his pack to finding Gabe a Ranch owner alpha who has disbanded his pack many years ago and doesn't want anything to do with wolves, but somehow these 2 were meant for each other. Loved it

Slow Burn.

Great book and I felt connected with Drake and Gabe throughout their journey together. It was a slow burn but worth the wait.

Great listen.

Drake and Gabe's story is such a great listen. I like that Drake isn't a typical Omega. I love story like that. Drake and Gabe are perfect for each other and I like the whole western style of the story. Then Stone Canon did a great job with the narration.

A slow burn

I was really in this to the end but it was a slow starter and the action and romance were slow in coming. It built nicely and the reader had a nice slow drawl, but with the slow start it also made it a bit difficult at first. Yet the ending was worth the slow climb. I especially loved the character Stan.

death to unprincipled alpha!!!!

There were many suspenseful moments that had me biting my nails and on the edge of my seat. I enjoyed Gabe and Drake and their strength and integrity. My only complaint was with how Julian was handled. Hevwas without integrity and deserved death. No doubt he will force another omega to his will. SMH.I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator did a great job bringing the characters and story to life.

Funny, lighthearted, and cute

I'm really hoping for the red headed trucker to get a HEA. But this book is super adorable. I like the fact it didn't give everything away right away but made you guess.

Drake is rash, quick to a decision and sees it through, he's also very, very stubborn. Leaving his pack after a unwanted arranged married is set for him, Drake does the only thing he can and runs. After a short time of running around with his new freedom he runs low on money and doesn't want to live almost totally as a wolf to get by. A opportunity presents itself in a form of a trucker with a trailer that has a painted rodeo scene on the side. After talking to the friendly trucker who encourages Drake to come with him to Texas and train for the amateur rodeo and the $15k it can bring, Drake agrees to go with the trucker, who then sends him to the best bull rider trainer, unfortunately........

Gabe is a ranch owner who caters to families who want to experience real ranch life for a short time with a staff of humans. Once one of the best bull riders in Texas, sulky, a former Alpha to a pack he disbanded after tragedies hit him again and again, and a werewolf who decided his life is totally fine how it is and doesn't want any more complications. Enter Drake, a Omega who won't take no for answer on bull riding lessons Gabe is both amused and annoyed at both himself and Drake.

As the two figure out things through different parts of their relationships, a threat appears that puts some things in perspective, along with a little bit of help from a redheaded trucker.

Another Noah Signature Romance!

Noah knows how to action-pack a romance! From beginning to end the listener is on the edge of his/her seat, eager to read/listen to what’ll come next. And the slow-burning desire, turning into love between the MCs, with the jilted ex-pack mate who wants him back, the plot is complete. Mr Canon narrates like the real pro that he is. I’ve been well entertained. Up to the next Noah gem. 💚
