Rhythms of Renewal is your guide to daily rescue and a way forward into the peace your soul longs for. Over 100,000 copies sold! As a society, we are in the throes of a collective panic attack. Anxiety and loneliness are on the rise, with 77% of our population experiencing physical symptoms of stress on a regular basis. We feel pressure chasing careers, security, and keeping up. We worry about health, politics, and many other complexities we can't control. Eventually, we find our minds spinning, trying to cope or manage a low hum of anxiety, unlike ever before. But it doesn't have to stay this way. Rebekah draws from her own battle with depression and anxiety and shares a pathway to establish four life-giving rhythms that quiet inner chaos and make room for a flourishing life. By taking time to rest, restore, connect, and create, you will discover how to:

  • Take charge of your emotional health and inspire your loved ones to do the same
  • Overcome anxiety by establishing daily habits that keep you mentally and physically strong
  • Find joy through restored relationships in your family and community
  • Walk in confidence with the unique gifts you have to offer the world

Too religious

Im surprised by all the references to God. A little boring. Probably won’t finish the book.

Great writer but should stick to fiction

Lyons is a fabulous writer and I would love to read some fictional work from her, however, in my opinion this particular book pertains only to a small population of women. Her reality of vacations, summer camps, & weekend getaways is far from reality for most women. I personally could not relate to the majority of this book.

Great, real book about the ups and downs of life

When it comes to mental-health-related books, if you write from the heart and effectively pepper in research and statistics on the subject, you’re going to have my attention. Lyons does that here, and quite effectively, I may add.

Her writing style is engaging and easy-to-follow. She weaves between personal stories of tragedies and triumphs while using such stories as jumping-off points for discussions on the science and statistics behind mental illness.

She’s also not afraid to call our competitive, consumerist society for what it is — a breeding ground for worry, anxiety, and depression. Not to fear, however, as she also provides ways to renew one’s life with peace and purpose in spite of such worldly stressors.

It’s a real, honest, and interesting book that helps shed new light on many of the stress-related maladies we face on a regular basis. In my mind, it seemed like a perfect length as well. I’d recommend checking it out.

Great book for times of heavy stress

During this crazy time of COVID-19 my self and the lady’s of my group were struggling with depression and anxiety. I am thankful we found this book and read it together with zoom calls once a week to talk about it and what we went through. I highly recommend this book for anyone ,dealing with depression or anxiety. Thank you to the author of this book. I have peace and joy again and I am in control.
