Summary

Sloane: Dominic Alexander is my late husband's best friend and the last man that I should want. For the last ten years, he's taken a sick pleasure in making me feel paper thin, like my existence is of no consequence to him at all.

But now, things are different.

Good story, somewhat frustrating narration

This is a nice story, unabashedly smutty, and a lovely HEA to boot. The relationships are really well written, not just with the main characters but with the surrounding friends and family too. The experience was a little clouded by the narration by the female voice actor, which sounded like an AI text-to-speech reader; overdrawn pauses within sentences and strange inflections. I found it distracting, even at 1.5x, and will probably swerve the other titles in the series which have the same narrator.
