Summary

Every story is about Him.

A single, scarlet thread runs through the entire Bible, weaving a beautiful garment of salvation from Genesis to Revelation. This thread shows how the Old and New Testament fit together to tell one complete story.

This sacred thread is the blood covenant Jesus made with God for you.

Uncover the grand narrative of Jesus's sacrifice, as it is powerfully and prophetically woven through the Scriptures beginning with the covenant rituals, Adam and Eve, Abraham, Moses, and the prophets.

With three powerful new chapters, this expanded edition of the classic best seller, The Miracle of the Scarlet Thread, is your invitation to step into the story of redemption - not merely as a listener, but as a participant.

  • Discover the prophetic origins of the New Testament's promise for believers and how they picture Jesus in every book of the Bible.
  • Experience personally the deep significance of the covenants, the Passover, crossing the threshold and eating the salt of the covenant.
  • Enter the manifest presence of God through the ancient invitation of the Tabernacle, the High Priest and the sacrificial offerings.

Have a fresh encounter with God and the supernatural power of the blood of Jesus!

Deeply challenging

I’ve been a Christian for many years. However having the covenant and the sacrifices and understanding the other covenants within the old and new testaments was a revelation to me! I was blown away by the meaning of them and the impact each one has on my life as a believer! I was moved to tears at the enormity of what the Father through Christ has done for us and continues to do! I am deeply challenged to live according to the revelation I have received.

Everyone will benefit from this book if they read it

This book is great for anyone, no matter what level of understanding you already have of the Bible, even if you have no clue of what is written in the Bible. You gain a clearer understanding of the meanings and significances of events/stories that are told all throughout in the Bible. Events/stories that cause many to leave church or Sunday school wondering or questioning the importance of them, and how or if they're even relative to me and to this day-in-time. You see the undeniable correlation and symbolism that solidifies events as the interactive relationship between God and man.

The Blood Still Flows

Would you consider the audio edition of The Miracle of the Scarlet Thread Expanded Edition to be better than the print version?

I can't make a comparison since I didn't even read the first chapter of the print version while in ministry training. The audio edition was very convenient because I could walk around the house with my headphones on and keep listening.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Miracle of the Scarlet Thread Expanded Edition?

There were many memorable moments; among them was the biblical context of the salt covenant, the significance of "breaking bread" with a covenant partner, and how Jesus is portrayed in each chapter of the Bible. I am definitely going to take a closer look at DaVinci's painting of the last supper.

What about William Crockett’s performance did you like?

Making the stories come alive with inflections in the right places and keeping the reader awake.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

There were many "wow" moments as explained in the "memorable" moments above.

Any additional comments?

I'm going to listen to it again to gain more insight into the history and culture of biblical times.

Really unhappy with narrator

Wow! Great book, a lot of good information but it took me FOREVER to get through it because the narrator (William Crockett) was horrid in his narration. Pausing in wrong places, not good with inflection. He spoke clearly but it was so boring to get through it. I listen to many audiobooks and have never felt this way about a narrator. I will never listen to a book if he narrates...sorry, just hard to get through.
