this is not a manual to save your marriage !

this is a proselytizing religious pamphlet.
I got a lot from the 5 love languages book and when I saw this I was really hopeful for some help.
There is no comfort here, just snide admonitions that the problems with your marriage are because you aren't godly enough.

about as comforting as a hug in broken glass.

Ready to give up?

Are you ready to give up on your marriage? If so, I highly encourage you to read this book before choosing to walk out. The end goal of a separation should be restoration not dissolution of a marriage. This book will help you walk through the difficult process of performing critical surgery on your marriage.

Save Your Marriage Positive Read

I love this book me and my husband are separated but it helps me spot my own weaknesses and helps me cope with what was once sadness. I really enjoy this book and it has helped me except myself and look to Jesus for help and to mold me to become a better person.

Solid advice

Super good advice. Although it is difficult, this book helped me to realize what some of the dysfunction is that I bring to my marriage and how I can improve, whether my wife will or not. It was also very thorough in a book that was not especially long.

Great insight for both spouses

I think this book is for everyone in a hard marriage and gives great recommendations on how to turn the relationship around as well as where else to turn for help.. Good, quick read as well.

Very religious - bible scripture

I love the authors prior book. 5 love languages which I recommend over this book. so thought I'd try this one more specifically to a struggling marriage. It's almost completely scripture based and by far too religious for me. Only gave it two stars

Too much Biblical content, too little real advice

I was surprised to see how far he went with the biblical part. For me it was a waste of money and time.

Well meaning, but thin on content, biased

There are some very good life principles in this book, but about halfway through the practical content fell off and it started to sound like an evangelical sales pitch. The book is also very chauvinistic and often sounds like it was written in the 1950’s. “Church”, “Christian”, and “bible” are the most commonly used words in the book.
