Summary

Are you sometimes perplexed with Jesus' teaching? Do you really want what he wants? Best-selling author Kyle Idleman reveals that the key to the abundant life Jesus promised lies in embracing his inside-out way of life. As he examines Jesus' Sermon on the Mount, Kyle unpacks the many counterintuitive truths, including: brokenness is the way to wholeness, mourning is the path to blessing, and emptiness is required in order to know true fullness. Ultimately you will discover how Jesus transforms you as you begin to live out these paradoxical principles. Because only when you come to the end of yourself can you begin to experience the full, blessed, and whole life Jesus offers.

I learned a lot

It wasn't philosophical which is why I liked it so much. Its for you and me, it's written in the perspective of one person counseling another. It spoke a lot of truth. Really Good!

Awesome

I enjoyed this book. I was encouraged and seen areas where I needed to change my way of thinking throughout the whole book. If you have a desire to end the "me" attitude/lifestyle, you'll definitely want to read this book.

Thought provoking and great book!!!

Idleman gets to the core of “End of Me” with a great number of examples from the Bible and those who have shown God’s strength through their weaknesses. Listening to this audio during a time when I stand at my own personal crossroads, it has been inspiring and uplifting to be reminded of how God uses the difficult times of our lives to fill us with Him. I highly recommend this book!

Funny

The pastor author has a great sense of humor and I loved the way he tied anecdotes and life challenges in with the lessons on dying to self.
Personally I think there is much deeper and revelational study to seek in servanthood. This was just touching the basics.

Wow!

This book is very insightful about being the end of yourself and serving as Jesus serves. Kyle Idleman uses humor and every day life to show examples on how to come to the end of yourself. I'm going to listen to this book again and again. I'm also buying copies for others.

Looking forward to listening to another of Kyle's books. I have read 4. This is the first one that I've listened to.
