Can business activity in itself be morally good and pleasing to God? Sometimes business can seem so shady-manipulating the "bottom line", deceiving the consumer, or gaining promotions because of whom you know. But Wayne Grudem introduces a novel concept: business itself glorifies God when it is conducted in a way that imitates God's character and creation. He shows that all aspects of business, including ownership, profit, money, competition, and borrowing and lending, glorify God because they are reflective of God's nature.
Though Grudem isn't naive about the easy ways these activities can be perverted and used as a means to sin, he knows that Christians can be about the business of business. This biblically based book is a thoughtful guide to imitating God during interactions with customers, coworkers, employees, and other businesses. See how your business, and your life in business, can be dedicated to God's glory.
The author presents a clear and concise reasoning for the premise of the book. Business, every aspect of it, when done well, brings glory to God. He addresses 9 topics including money, profit, competition, employment and others and makes the point that without corruption, they all point us to God. I'm grateful for the founders of the US and for the free market and I am also grateful to the author for helping me see how wonderful our economic structure really is.

I love this book! What does the Bible say about how we spend a majority of our time and effort? He clearly identifies the business world as one of the places where the rubber meets the road -- where our faith and values interact with the wide world. Very valuable to hear a well-respected theologian expand such an important topic.
We as Christian business owners can embrace the good we can do for the world in Gods name. This book was a wonderful way to break down that process. Some of the book to many will sound basic. But to hear and read the scripture passages that support the basic ideas of business is a wonderful extension of ones study of scripture. It shows me and me and fellow business owners the good we do and can do for Gods world and children. I recomend this book for any fellowship of business owners that strive to understand how they can use their business to further Gods kingdom and beat down the devil. I recomend those interested to seek out Business Men's Fellowship. There are chapters world wide. Doing business Gods way is the best way.
this is a refreshing and uncommon perspective on Business. Well performed and written, I will help you find new vigor and purpose for Business.
There is so much more about business and the advancement of the Kingdom. So many traps that he doesn't go to. What business should believers stay away from? Are all sectors of business ok?
I had an expectation for more.
The book was ok. I believe it could have had more depth but It achieved its purpose.
The author clears out the distortions that many have taught us to cling to as our view of business, and consequently our view of ourselves wrapped in those distortions, thereby setting us free to pursue our vocations as Godly, pure-hearted ways of presenting His "wonderfulness" in the world.
Clear and concise, I recommend this book wholeheartedly !
Short and practical book on business ethics. Simplifies concepts that often seem more complicated. Worth the quick read.

Romantic, someone could say a little bit unrealistic in real society. But i don't think so. It gives a wholistic perspective of doing business. In my humble opinion, morales are very practical and necessary in sales and business.
