Summary

Kent Dobson climbed Mount Sinai in search of the God who had eluded him. Instead he got bitten by a camel. Dobson was climbing the ladder of Christianity, too: a worship leader, teacher, and ultimately senior pastor of one of the largest and most prominent churches in America. But he was growing disillusioned with the faith, at least inside the shell of organized religion.

Excellent!

This book is a must-read for anyone feeling guilty about doubting their faith and feeling too scared to question what so many of us were taught as kids.

Game changer

What relief to read this, giving words to my own doubts and existential crisis but held in a tradition I’m familiar with. Such a lot of wisdom and teaching packed into this book, it’s a must read for anyone who is serious about their own spiritual walk, particularly if they had anything to do with church, specifically any brushes with evangelicalism.
