Summary
Pierce Davies watched as his older siblings fell in love - something this bachelor was not ready for. After all, he was now the most eligible man in all of Keeneston! Though Pierce enjoys the playboy lifestyle, his life is his work and that hard work is set to pay off big time with the unveiling of a big secret. However, this work hard, play hard attitude may have also landed him in hot water as he finds himself arrested for a brutal murder with all evidence pointing to him.
Tammy Fields has been suffering from the crush to end all crushes. But her flirtations have fallen short as Pierce Davies always ended up in the arms of a Keeneston Belle. Having waited long enough, Tammy decides now is the time to grow up and move on. She has a good job as a paralegal and a hot new boyfriend. But everything changes quickly when Pierce is arrested and Tammy is called upon to help with his case. While working closely with Pierce to prove his innocence, she realizes her crush is something far more meaningful as she risks everything to save him.
Will they finally find love or will the increasing danger prevent their happily ever after.

Forgive and forget
Would you be willing to try another book from Kathleen Brooks? Why or why not?
I am slowly working my way through all of the Bluegrass stories and cannot wait for Cy and Ahmed's stories as well as the few singles I have still to read.
What about Eric G. Dove’s performance did you like?
As always, I have to reinforce what a great choice Eric G Dove is as narrator. Whenever I read rather than listen to a Bluegrass story, I cannot help but hear his version of their voices in my head.
Any additional comments?
I am an unashamed adoring fan of all things Bluegrass. It is therefore painful for me to admit that this is the first time that I have come away disappointed. The relationship between Pierce and Tammy was lacking in intensity compared to the other relationships in the Bluegrass realm.
I found his sudden revelation and calling her his 'sweetheart' too sudden and unconvincing. For me it felt like the relationship with thrown in just to make it a romance novel whereas the other factors of the story felt much more believable and enjoyable.
The Belles coming back to their origins was satisfying and the cameo by the adorable guys from the bomb squad made rot really good entertainment.
The ending was both unexpected and logical, and I hope that my disappointment with this novel will be a soon forgotten disappointment because I have been looking forward to Cy's story for a long time.

Pierce’s story
The fourth in the Bluegrass brother series focuses on the youngest brother Pierce and the delightful Tammy.
Waking up the morning after his brothers wedding with a hangover and no memory with a dead body lying next to him, Pierce finds himself in a heap of trouble.
Tammy as Henry the towns defence lawyers assistant is by his side the whole time he fights for his innocence. Tammy has been in love with Pierce for 2 years but I t’s only when Tammy decides to stop pursuing Pierce that he starts to see what an incredible woman she is.
However it is Keenston so there are lots of twists and turns and lots of fun with our favourite characters.
Kathleen Brooks never disappoints.
