Carla Kelly is an outstanding writer who has once again told a wonderful story. The narrator lets the side down though with a pseudo English accent.

I did finish the book, but there are quite a few story lines that are not followed up completely and the power balance between master and temporary slave did not sit well with me.

And there is this thing about "clean" books that I come across all the time, book is closed door but the man has a mistress and that is totally fine.

Loved it! I remember I got it in iBooks years ago and loved the light-hearted bits then. So glad to find it in audio ,I do hope they'll do more of her early books
I did have to speed up the narration to 1.25 but apart from that the narration was good

The story was nowhere near as good as some of her other books, very weak characterisation. Nowhere near as good as some of her other novels. Not sure what style the narrator was trying to achieve but it ended up as stilted, false and boring.

Gave up at chapter 4.
