Summary

The rescue of hostages stirred up a hornet’s nest. Not one to take a defeat, the cartel plans for retaliation. News of an impending attack drifts through the intelligence channels and Red Team is called on to respond.

On the other side of the world, the mysterious group taking out special operations teams strikes again. The symbols carved into foreheads they leave behind the only clue of their existence.

Deep in the forests, hunters of a different nature prowl the nights. Under the light of the full moon, they run silently through the woods, the blur of ghostly gray shapes but a whisper in the gloom. Death comes calling with the first glimpse of golden eyes and low growls.

great to hear about Jack before the apocalypse.

It is nice to read about Jack and red team before the the world went to hell. Makes one wonder what happened to the strigoi and werewolves when the night runner apocalypse took place. Loving these stories.

PHEW !!!

First of all Mark G. is awesome!!!!!!
Ok Mr. O. you are amazing! Book one was so sooo good and I thought "where can he go with this" and then you brought the werewolves! Ha! and I thought the vampires were vicious! The "big" guy wolfie thing was very impressive and I just realized it is very hard to write a review without spoiling the adventure for someone else. So - get the book and I do wonder if you continue the series what monster type thing is next - you knocked the 2 big ones out -hmmm?

love to hear about jack again but

i love to here about jack and the gang again but this one didnt flow great for me. i felt like there wasnt enough reason for all of it. the lycan where rather 2 dimensional. in fact this one just missed for me. all the characters just didnt make me care about them. im sorry this story fell short cause i was absolutely addicted to a new world saga. john obrien is a great writer. this is the first book i didnt just absolutely love.

Excitement from the start!

If you are a fan of John Obrien 's Jack Walker you will love Lycan. If you have not met Jack yet and you love action adventures with a military twist you will enjoy getting to know Jack and his team.

Red Team Rocks!!

Jack and Red Team are back, this time looking into the possible existence of Werewolves/Lycans. After the mysterious death of two hunters as well as footage of a very large unknown species of wolf, they go in to investigate quickly learninig that what was once a myth is all too real, and why not, they've had encounters with the Vampires and Strigoi, Lycans would not be that much of a stretch.
But this time they are dealing, not with mindless creatures, but intelligent beast that are far larger, faster and deadlier than any wolf.
They battles are intense and with O'Brien's knack for placing you in the thick of things, you will not be disappointed with the action as Red Team engages the Lycan in several harrowing battles.
And of course much of the intensity is due to Mark Gagliardi's excellent narration.
A must for any John O'Brien fan. So looking forward to the next installment of Red Team, and with all the known and unknown Cryptics out there, there is no limit to his imagination.
