Özet

Scarcely two weeks have passed since Princess Syla bested Captain Vorik and returned home with a magical sky shielder to protect her kingdom. Is the powerful dragon rider holding a grudge? Will his people come after her and try to steal or destroy the shielder?

Syla may find out sooner than expected when Vorik shows up in her harbor with his general and chiefs. They claim to be on a diplomatic mission, but she suspects they have treachery in mind.

As much as she would like to trust the handsome and charismatic Captain Vorik, especially when he smiles at her instead of scowling, she has to be wary. Her feelings for him might make him her most dangerous enemy.

I love dragons. This series has very interesting dragons as well as the characters who may ride them.

Absolutely Brilliant

I am a huge Lindsay Buroker fan, and I am used to the steamy scenes in her books, but in her previous series they were more toned down, so they did not bother me that much. However, this series is different, and after finishing the first book, I really hoped the second book would focus a lot less on lust.
Unfortunately, the steamy scenes in this book are equally descriptive, though even more crude, with the second scene seriously testing my gag reflex and causing me to no longer like the characters. It really would have been an enjoyable read otherwise, but those scenes ruined it.
