a genuinely fun story with both humour, romance and thrilling intrigue. it's not too heavy yet still engaging enough to keep you on your toes even if you've read similar stories before. I enjoyed the expansion of the world and mythos from the previos book, and I think Oren is my favorite character of this series so far.

The narrator did a great job too, keeping the individual characters voices distinctive enough that even someone like me who can't remember side characters names could keep up fairly well.
