it starts a little slow to start and I didn't think it was for me but I gave it a chance and ime so glad I did on the second book now and it just gets better

Great story and performance good length, however the speed at which DI FREED writes and the fact that the other series is still incomplete makes me wonder. It’s such a well written story that I don’t want to be invested two or three books in like invasion and not to get a conclusion or continuation.

The setup in this book makes for a rather fun set of plot devices... The world building is great, too! I love that the author doesn't forget to keep the main character's abilities, improvements and general behaviour consistent with the events she goes through. Looking forward to the next book.
