Summary

It’s a simple business deal until things get personal.

I’m one of Toronto’s most eligible bachelors and CEO of Rothwell Enterprises. I wear success like a well-tailored suit, but that doesn’t mean I’m not at the mercy of others.

My heavily guarded trust fund is all I need to take my business to new heights. But to get my hands on that money, I have only two options: Wait 'til I’m 40 or get married.

With my 40th birthday still years away, getting married is the best short-term option. And when a woman walks into my office with a problem of her own, I see a golden opportunity for both of us to get what we want.

She needs a lawyer and I need a wife. My proposition? She pretends to be my love interest and I’ll make her legal problem go away. It’s a simple win-win situation.

If we play this right, nothing can go wrong....

At least, that’s what I thought.

Excellent narration, fun story

This one was cute and unexpected. It was the first book I've listened to/read by S. M. West but I would be interested in reading more by this author.

I listened to the Audible version and the narration was fabulous. I'm looking forward to more by Ava Erickson and Tor Thom.

A real good listen

I loved the dual narration of Ava Erickson and Thor Thom. Excellent

I so enjoyed listening to this book. Paige and Zach , both find themselves needing each others help. Paige because of a not so nice landlord and Zach need to settle down before his grandmother stops withholding funds, from his trust. Zach proposes a business only, fake dating arrangement to Paige and she reluctantly agrees.

You will find this very entertaining. The fun begins with them having to lie to their families and oh you so know and look forward to it all coming back to haunt them. Trying to hid their true feels, from each other.

Zach and Paige are both have winning, and warming characters that I loved from the start.
This is humorous, engaging and hot, and the chemistry is brilliant.

Fake Relationship Romance

Real Liars by S.M. West is a fake relationship romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Ava Erickson and Tor Thom.

I absolutely love Suzanne’s books! They always leave me with a smile. I really enjoyed the relationship that bloomed between Paige and Zach. Their relationship was bit of a rollercoaster but you couldn’t help but root for them.

Ava and Tor did a great job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would highly recommend if you love fake relationships or contemporary romance.

An easy listen...

I really enjoyed this book. There were twists and turns, a little drama and angst, and it came together well. The characters were likeable and the premise, although a little out there, was enjoyable.

Narration was spot on!

Fantastic!

What a fantastic read this is! Fake relationships are one of my favourite tropes and this one certainly doesn’t disappoint. It’s lighthearted and sexy with a tad drama for added excitement to a well written, feel good storyline. And last but not least, I loved the narrators who delightfully brought these wonderful characters to life. I highly recommend it!

Fake Relationship Fun and Sexy Story

So glad I got this one. The narration by Ava Erickson and Tor Thom was perfect for the characters and made for an enjoyable listen.
Right at the beginning I was hooked. Fake relationships are one of my favorite tropes and this one had everything. Humor, misunderstandings, a creepy landlord, well meaning family members, a hero with money that can help her problems go away, a heroine who needs help but also holds the power to make his problems go away. They are sweet to each other and really show care for each other but the road to admitting their love is bumpy.

I would love to have more stories set in this world and will check out other titles by SM West.

Excellent Story & Narration🎧 Enjoyable & Heartfelt

I thoroughly enjoyed this book is well written with original and interesting storylines that are captivating from start to end. The characters are realistic and easy to relate and connect with. Paige broke up with her live in boyfriend and let him have the apartment, her new place is not in the best area but she jumped on to get away from her loser ex who was freeloading off of her. Unfortunately her new place comes with a creepy landlord, one who comes and goes when he pleases to make much needed repairs. She told him to stop doing that but he continued to do so leaving her feeling unsafe. Reaching out to her brother he tells her his lawyer friend owes him a favor and she should seek his help for legal action and protection. Zachary Rothwell is a CEO of Rothwell Enterprises, he helps run a multi-billion dollar empire, an empire build by his late Grandfather, Galen Rothwell and his Grandmother Nanette “Nan” Rothwell who is still heavily involved in the business and holding the reins of Zachary’s trust fund, a fund he wish he could access for more business ventures for the company. The problem is Nan keeps changing the stipulation of the trust, the latest being he has to wait until he is 40 and/or he gets married. He tried go with marriage route but that did not work out. When Paige comes to see him about a problem with her landlord, he owed her brother a favor, he gets his legal team on it. He also sees an opportunity and takes it offering her a proposition, to pose as his girlfriend, which she agrees to do. She falls into the role with ease, Nan really likes her and asks for her help on a fundraiser, it is then that she gets to meet some of the sharks in Zachary’s world. I love how everything plays out in this book, it is cleverly plotted and there is never a dull moment. There is plenty of drama, bsome angst, some thrilling and suspenseful moments thanks to the creepy landlord, heartfelt moments and some hot romance as they cross the line from fake to real. S.M. West, thank you for this great story and the emotional rollercoaster ride.

Ava Erickson and Tor Thom are fantastic narrators and voice artists. They do an awesome job portraying the characters, bringing them to life, giving each their own voice and personality. They truly grasp their character’s persona, capture all their emotions which is reflected in their performance. They are entertaining storytellers and pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another great listen🎧

Fantastic Fake Relationship Story

I LOVED this book. Fake relationships is one of my favorite tropes and when I read the blurb for this book, I knew immediately it sounded like a book I would enjoy. It surpassed my expectations.

Paige meets Zach when she needs help with a landlord issue. Zach is looking for someone to enter into a fake marriage with him so he can gain access to his trust fund. They decide they can help each other out with their respective issues. That just touches the surface of the story and it soon becomes a question of whether something that starts as fake can turn real.

I loved both Paige and Zach. Paige has trouble believing that Zach would be interested in a real relationship with her and watching her struggle with that was heartbreaking. She fits in fantastically with Zach’s grandmother and cousin and I loved watching those relationships develop. Paige grew throughout the book and she found her own identity by the end. It was a joy to watch her journey.

Zach seemed like he was going to be a jerk, but it didn’t take long for his true colors to show. Underneath the tough exterior, he was a loving, protective man who just wanted to make those he loved happy. I loved how open he was with Paige about his business and although he did keep some secrets, he thought he was doing what was best for everyone. He did have a bad habit of assuming that people knew how he was feeling without him actually speaking it.

It was such fun watching Zach and Paige’s relationship develop. They were funny, sweet, heart-wrenching, sexy, and an all-around delight. Their chemistry was off the charts!!

I love Ava Erickson's narration. She WAS Paige. Tor Thom was a new narrator to me and his voice is yummy. It's so rich and deep that he perfectly embodies Zach.

This was one of best fake relationship stories I’ve read in a long time. I would highly recommend it. .

Awesome! 💕

I simply loved this story! Fake relationship is one of my favourite tropes, but this one was so much more. The storyline was really great. I loved the chemistry between the main characters Paige & Zach, and I also liked their families (Nan was the sweetest).

Both narrators (Ava Erickson and Tor Thom) were very, very good. They really brought the characters and the story to life.

Heartwarming and suspenseful

S. M. West did a wonderful job with the fake relationship between Paige and Zach! Their relationship demonstrated the toll it took and the anxiety caused to maintain the ruse of a real relationship. Paige was strong-willed, intelligent, compassionate and loving! Zach was protective, generous and slightly manipulative. Although different, both complemented each other and fell in love without wanting to reveal their feelings for fear of rejection. Their story also highlighted the injustices of proving a victim being stalked. The storyline was heartwarming, suspenseful and thought provoking! Ava Erickson and Tor Thom’s performances were stellar! They made me feel a wide range of emotions and really enhanced my listening experience!

I really enjoyed the story and how the main characters fell for each other. The author did a really good job with the characters of Donovan and Reagan. She really made me hate them. ^^

Tor Thom and Ava Erickson were perfect! They did a fantastic job in bringing to life their characters.

Lovers the story, loved the characters...just Loved it!

This is such a wonderful story! I was easily drawn into the plight of Paige. Even Zach and his struggles. This is a great romantic listen with a suspenseful twist in there. It has such a nice flow and made me *feel with the characters. Paige is a favorite because she really didn’t take any of Zach’s bossiness. But yet when push came to shove he wanted to be all up in her business. She also...well they both had such growth in their characters it was nice to follow along. I loved her family! They are so friendly and adorable. Perfect secondary characters!

I did listen to this on audio. Tor Thom and Ava Erickson did an amazing job. Tor Thom rocks this as Zach and his other male voices (the landlord!). His voice is soo sexy when he does the love scenes....and other times too!

This is a new author for me. I will be looking for more from her to listen to. I really enjoyed this one. Her character building and story were perfect!

Excellent fake romance

I asked to receive this free review Audible book and wrote this unbiased review. S. M. West has written a captivating, heartwarming, as well as heart-wrenching, story about a fake relationship. I fell in love with these characters from the start. As the characters are developed you will realize that they are caring and loving and doing what they think is best for the company as well as each other and their families and friends. Zach becomes very protective of Paige and it's heartwarming to see his love grow for her. Paige inwardly battles with the terms of the contract and her growing love for Zach. I love the banter between these two. Add in a stalker and the story gets more complicated.

Tor Thom and Ava Erickson are perfect narrators for this story. They capture the essence of these characters and vividly portray their emotions and personalities. It is so easy the picture the scenes in your mind.

I highly recommend this Audible book. It is one that I will definitely listen to again. This story will put a smile on your face.
