Venice, 1880.

Alexander, Viscount Dundarran, seeks refuge from scandal amidst the fading grandeur of crumbling palazzos during the infamous Carnival in the city. A gripping story and well written. I absolutely loved the narration by Lara O'connor. She breathes life into this adventure and her clear, descriptive voice is wonderful. I will look out for her next title.

A great story, rich and detailed. The narration is wonderful and captures perfectly the different characters as the plot develops. Surely one of the best narrators on Audible!

A gripping and atmospheric Victorian gothic page turner. Brilliantly researched and incredibly evocative of its various settings - 19th century Venice, London and Ravenscourt itself. As an added bonus the book is beautifully read in this audio version! Highly recommended.

I particularly loved the unsettling nature of Ravenscourt, which definitely gave vibes of 'The Woman in Black' by Susan Hill. A historical novel set in Venice and England in the 1880s, it had a great blend of characters and settings. Narration was excellent too. Well done.
