I love it

I love it. As a scientist I cannot progress in some research projects without knowing how to interpret and write Python scripts. This book is amazing. I recommend this book for everyone. I became interested in Python through embedded computing world and its growing use in education, data analysis and machine learning. As an intro to Python, this book is fantastic. I've read many books on many programming languages. This one is the simple one! Thank you,

I am very impressed. Easy to listen and follow. It's contains the quick intro that I was looking for and I'm hooked on the language now. It is written simply enough for him to understand, but still covers the important things. Glad I bought it.

I must say that the written part of the python code for Raspberry Pi, and all necessary codes for web application are something really special, because while I was reading the book I looked up a few terms on Google-u, and did not notice that someone wrote about it when writing generally about Raspberry Pi

I bought four books on RPi. I have been using this this one for a couple of months now. The amount of material covered is amazing, pick out what you need. It is well worth the price, I would rather have this than all of the three other books I bought together.

When I had trouble getting my Pi to work, this was the text I used. It was helpful and useful and even though the examples were not exactly what I was seeing on screen (because software changes more rapidly than books can be published to keep up with it), it provided enough basic information for me to configure my system and update it. All in all a very useful text.

Very clear explanations! The author takes you by the hand and leads you into the Linux world. Some minor details of the Raspberry Pi site pages have already changed since the book was published, but that does not matter much. A well-conceived book. 4.5 stars,

This book is exactly what it says it is

This book is exactly what it says it is - a beginner's book for users of the raspberry pi. I have found it a great place to start before moving on to more advanced books. I recently gave a raspberry pi as a gift to a friend. I gave him the pi and a copy of this book to go with it.

Good starter book for the Pi, includes comprehensive basics on Linux and peripheral topics to get you started. I'll be getting another book from Amazon focusing on Pi projects alone; hopefully there won't be any overlap.

Anytime I have needed to educate myself or to help educate someone else, I have always turned to the Dummies series of educational publications. They are extremely good at educating people on an easy to understand level. This book is no different! The topic is new and the information is excellent!
