About this listen

Arthur Winter, his wife, and daughter move to Rapture with the promise of a better life, and more importantly a new start. He intends to work hard and one day be wealthy just like Ryan promises everyone who moves to Rapture.

He opens a small business. For a few years things are good, almost idyllic.

The good life is shattered when one day his daughter mysteriously vanishes without a trace.

The police of Rapture don't seem to want to help.

So Arthur sets out to find her himself.

He is lead down into a seedy underworld that exists below the upmarket facade of Rapture.

But can he find her in time?

It doesn't compare to the games story but it is pretty good! I was expecting more of an insight about Rapture and big-daddies and another view for the rise and fall of Rapture. It feels a little incomplete and leaves place for more.

Good narrator, decent story

The story was fantastic! Very in keeping with Rapture and I’d love to hear more stories like this. The narrative was cringey in places with the female voices but you get used to it.

Great story!

Would you consider the audio edition of Rapture: The Big Daddy to be better than the print version?

Yes, it very easy and very useful than print version

What did you like best about this story?

The author made me feel as though I was experiencing a completely new kind of criminal underworld that was wonderfully depicted by the author's own captivating and brilliant imagination. The plot is unlike any that I've read before and I was glued to the book the whole time.

Any additional comments?

I recommend this small story as it really gives a good description of Rapture's corrupted society. It was also nice to see small references to the characters and areas found in the first game.

Overall it was a fun book to read. If you love Bioshock. You might like this.
