About this listen

Jimmy Roberts' favourite sport to watch is Robot Races, where drivers and their high-tech robot vehicles compete. When the races' founder announces a special version of the competition just for children, Jimmy and his robot, Cabbie, were thrilled to qualify. After finishing second in the first race, they're out to win the next challenge, in the Amazon rainforest - but Jimmy's enemy Horace has other ideas.

Editor reviews

Joe Jameson has a fine British voice that is sure to entertain the young boys this audiobook is aimed at. Deftly switching between fast-paced narration and swift dialogue between a human boy and his cute, ever-ready robot, Jameson brings to life this series of racing adventures.

Rainforest Rampage is book two in Axel Lewis’s Robot Races series, in which Jimmy and his robot travel around the world trying to beat his nemesis, Horace, to the finish line. Listen to the swerves and ducks through lush forests and teeming rivers. And when the race is over, check out Jimmy’s races in the arctic, the canyon, and the desert.
