About this listen

'Fearne Cotton and Frankie Bridge have encouraged fans to open up about their mental health issues in inspirational social media posts' Hello.com

In Quiet, Fearne Cotton explores why so many of us question whether we are, or will ever be, 'good enough.' This beautiful book, filled with Fearne's creative hand-drawn illustrations and thought-provoking activities to still your mind, will silence your inner-critic and stop you from continually self-sabotaging.

Quiet includes interviews with people who have helped Fearne to accept her flaws and love her own imperfections, as well as advice on how to drown out misinformation and the, sometimes, pressurising noise from family, work and friends, which can fuel our insecruties and self-doubt.

Fearne talks honestly and openly about what it's like to live in the public eye and shares some of the methods and practical activities she uses to ignore negative online chatter and trolls. She acknowledges the terrifying stats and research linking social media to rising levels of depression, anxiety and other mental health issues in young people and offers advice about how to listen more selectively to what we are told in an era of constant-sharing, over-sharing nand general misinformation about what is 'good' or 'bad' for us.

Stop competing with all the noise out there and accept that Quiet might be your most formidable force yet.

I absolutely loved this audio book. The way Fearne reads is so relaxed and she's funny in parts too. It's a great way to lighten up a serious topic. I can relate to every chapter and the book has really helped me to see myself and things in my life from a whole new perspective. I've recommended it to all of my friends and family as a must listen! I'm going to buy the paper copy too so I can take notes and re-read certain parts.

Loved every minute of this!

Not the most helpful of guidance books but not too heavy either. I bought the book and listened to the audiobook as well. I just didn’t have time to read but wanted to read the interviews from a book which come with the audiobook as pdfs.

Some worthy points are made throughout. This isn’t written by a shrink but an ordinary woman trying to do her best like the rest of us. So the book is grounded and doesn’t dictate from a pedestal.

A nice book to listen to
