In a town where secrets cling to the trees like moss, some things are better left buried.
For Skyla Bishop, being uprooted from her life in sunny Florida to the remote, chilling town of Hemlock Hollow is a nightmare. The forest is too dense, the locals are too watchful, and the feeling of being an outsider is a constant, unnerving weight. She and the other two generations of Bishop women are no strangers to whispers and rumors thanks to a so-called family curse that scares men away. But Hemlock Hollow holds a different kind of darkness, one that whispers of missing people and things that go bump in the night.
When a chance encounter with three devastatingly handsome and enigmatic men leaves Skyla's world spinning, she's pulled into a reality she thought only existed in her grandmother's wild tales. These men are more than they seem, and their intense, possessive interest in her awakens something ancient and powerful within Skyla herself.
Forced to confront a destiny she never knew she had, Skyla must navigate a world of supernatural politics, rival packs, and a fated Bond that could either be her salvation or her ruin.
Because in Hemlock Hollow, the woods are watching, the shadows have teeth, and falling in love might be the most dangerous thing she could ever do.

Solo narration- not particularly great, her FMC voice was perfect! But there was 0 difference between any of the bar acted voices so it was really hard to keep up with the story. Also, the volume was quite up and down, as if one minute she was next to the microphone and the next she was sat back, plus there were the odd words or lines that were over loud an crisp- as if they were a last minute addition or correction.
The story was really interesting and it at all what I was expecting from the cover or title! I expected something cozier and cutesy, particularly after the first few chapters mentioned so many comfy things like Gilmore girls and practical magic. But instead we got a layered plot and characters with a deep history and dark past.
I love a dark read, I love shifters and witches and I enjoy a cozy read so this is pretty much my ideal book, but it was towing the line really, not fleshed out enough to be a great paranormal romance, too much trauma and darkness to be cozy.
I enjoyed it, I will red this author again and give the narrator bother chance also, but I won’t be re reading this book. I would recommend it to people that like twists, passion, darkness and a great witch storyline. There wasn’t much spice and the multiple mates weren’t thrown in your face which makes it so a good book to read if you’re new to, or intrigued by the why choose trope!
Devotion, magic and history that repeats itself…
