About this listen

Miller "Buck" Butterson has been banging his way through life ever since a puck to the face fixed his messed-up front teeth. After five years in the NHL, deflecting goals on the ice and scoring them with puck bunnies, Miller has decided he's ready for a girlfriend. A real, nonbunny girlfriend to take on dates and not jump into bed with after five seconds of conversation.

Miller thinks he's found that woman in his teammate's sister. Except, unlike team captain and all-around nice guy Alex Waters - who happens to date his stepsister - Miller's media reputation as a manwhore is well earned. Beyond that minor detail, Miller doesn't know the first thing about relationships or the time and effort they require.

Miller learns - eventually - that if he wants to make Sunshine "Sunny" Waters fall for him, he's going to have to do a whole lot more than show her his stick skills in the bedroom.

Absolutely loved this. The narration was great even though it was only read by the man in the story. Its funny, a bit sad here and there but mostly great.I am gradually working my way through this authors audio books and enjoying them.

Another great story

this was nowhere near as good as the first book. idont know whether it was just because there were so many cringe farcical situations that you just knew were going to end badly, or that sunny seemed really unlikeable initially, or that you only ever heard his side of the story and initially he just seemed oblivious to anyone else's perception or feelings. Violet brought the comedy, thankfully, but this wasn't really an enjoyable book for me. I'm hoping the 3rd book will be more aligned with the first, and have much more likeable characters.

Book 2 of the Pucked series following Violet's brother Buck and Alex's sister Sunny. This can be read as a standalone, but I highly recommend you read Pucked first. Buck is a player (or was, until Sunny came into his life), he's trying is best to stay on the straight and narrow. Unfortunately for Buck, he seems to be a "Puck Bunny"magnet and finds himself, through no particular fault of his own, regularly on social media in compromising positions with other women. Enter Sunny's ex "Bushman," to try and sweep her off her feet and win her back, and we end up with some serious laugh out loud moments. I really felt for both Sunny and Buck. Sunny struggling with her trust issues, and Buck dealing with social media and dyslexia. I also loved Buck and Violet's relationship, so inappropriate, yet hilarious, gives a new meaning to no secrets within the family. Wonderful story, beautifully written with lots of chemistry between all the characters. It did take me a few chapters to really get into the book. Not as good as book 1 in my opinion, but I'm still looking forward to reading about more of the players in the next book.
Joe Arden narrating, just perfect.

Perfect, I love Miller

Hilarious, good narration , low on cringe factor. Now on to the next in the series

Love this whole series

Very mediocre story filled with characters you just want to shout at in frustration. Lots of sections are unnecessarily long and detailed without adding anything to the story which makes it drag as a read. I don’t mind long books, but the words have to count and add value. None of the characters or the story left a mark. Left with a sense of disappointment and feeling unfulfilled now it’s finished.
