I think true improve skills have a place, but I am a visual learner, so listen about the methods and a list of what to do to practice them at home really doesn't fit the way that I learn. I also frankly am not interested in doing improve to improve my communication skills -

GREAT tips for literally thinking on your feet

I purchased the audible version and have truly enjoyed this book. It has helped me to take a step back in situations where I would normally blurt out things before having thought about my reaction. I have found that I have gone back to a few chapters to stay refreshed because life comes at you fast sometimes so you have to be able to think faster.

Highly Recommended

I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this book. First, it's well-edited and logically presented. As a technical writer and editor by trade and by nature, that really DOES matter to me. Nothing makes me question the validity of an advice book more than poor editing and awkward organization. I can't relax and enjoy poorly presented writing of any kind.

Helped me clarify my communication and get people

It was narrowly focused on public speaking. I enjoyed this one because it is broadly applicable to all communication. I used to stutter constantly and struggle with clearly communicating my ideas. This was really helpful because it gave me clear structures.
