I never thought moving to the quiet little town of Prosper Woods, California, would be such an adventure. When I quit my detective job at the LAPD and moved north to the gorgeous sequoia forests, the last thing I expected was to learn something about myself that had apparently been passed down through generations, but here I am, and I wouldn’t change a thing. Then again, this is where my heart lives, and the moment he dropped fang had my hindquarters tingling.

When I moved to Prosper Woods, California, it was out of necessity. Every 20 years or so, I’d been forced out of my home because I never age. The very last thing I expected was to have to confront a centuries-old enemy of mine who wanted something I possessed. Then there was the rather important thing my sire, Robert, never told me. But honestly...the most incomprehensible thing to me was the real reason I was drawn to this place...to find and fall in love with the creature who owns my heart.

John Solo excelled in his narration of this story. There was a large number of characters all of whom were given their own unique voices, courtesy of John. Fan-tastic!

I actually loved this box set,I have listened to it twice now and recommend it if you like snarky supes,interesting characters and of course fantastic narration by the amazing John solo.

My first by the author and of course John Solo is the reason why. This was an easy listen for me. Funny fast paced and I absolutely loved how different characters in the book had their own povs, instead of just the usual 2 main characters. I can honestly say am looking forward to discovering more of the authors work.

Narrator saved the show despite the rather poor material he had to work with.
A love story that moved really fast (instalove is an understatement, instaoldestablishedcouple with no need to get to know each other was more like it).
Main characters have inner monologs that sound as I like to think sweet old ladies with tons of grandchildren think, reason and look at life. There are sections where practically everything is being giggled at no matter seriousness or funny factor. There are a lot of not telling your loved one all sorts of important stuff that could be useful for eithers survival and always for rather lame reasons.
First couple of books also had quite important inconsistencies that almost annoyed me enough to return the book bundle.

(Spoilers,) This book was absolutely amazing, but the only thing that spoiled it for me was the vampire council there was built up to be some powerful vampires but when it got to the main fight it felt like there was heavily nerfed very disappointed
