'Britain's answer to Stephen King and Michael Crichton' Sunday Telegraph

A game that turns to a nightmare ...

Non Omnis Moriar
I shall not altogether die

A young boy watches his mother die. A sadistic man dies in agony. Drunk students play with a Ouija board in a damp cellar. Can bricks and mortar retain imprints of the emotions experienced within them?

Frannie is delighted when a chance meeting with a handsome man and his son leads to a romance. The fact that the relationship is marred by gruesome tragedies, she dismisses as an unsettling coincidence. But eventually she can no longer ignore the fact that she is the only thing linking these horrible events. Is it a murderous practical joke?

Or worse...?

The story is a great ghost story with twists and turns.I was hooked from start to finish! Would make a great movie if it hasn’t already

Great scary read

I love the diversity of his books, both the supernatural and Roy Grace stories

I’ve listened to a lot of Peter James work but this is undoubtedly my favourite. I listened to the entire book in 24 hours because I couldn’t put it down. Tense, chilling, and absolutely captivating. I listened to some of his other supernatural books last year but for me, this one is in a different league. It helped that I really liked the narrator. In all honesty I often avoid books with young female voices as the narration is often dire and I get frustrated that the same few women are chosen again and again slaughtering great books when there are some great British actresses who could actually do the books justice. I really liked this narrator. She brought the story to life and did just enough to characterise without it getting in the way. Really glad I bought it.

Absolutely brilliant!

I love Peter James's Grace, and wondered how I would go with this. I liked the story, perhaps a bit predictable in parts. What I didn't like was the over done gore. Especially when children are involved. Bit of a no go area for me.

Tense
