Shocking revelations
One of the best of the Audible original podcasts. Very thoroughly researched, lots of interviews with family members / fellow recruits and other people connected to the events. Shocking how badly the new recruits were treated and how abuse has been covered up. Excellent piece of investigative journalism.

Tragic, Harrowing !
My family have a long association with the RAF and RN. My husband was Air Force and our eldest son joined the army. He did his initial training at Pirbright when these frankly vile things were happening. The Deepcut 4, those were just the one's that the Army publicised, but never the true nature of their deaths. They said nothing of the 'suicides' or the 'attempted' suicides. There are still people suffering daily because of the treatment they underwent.. Rapes, males and female, savage beatings, loan sharking. Some years later at a different base, my son unknowingly spent a year sharing a room with a paedophile. When he started to become suspicious and reported this he was told that "yes, they knew and had him under surveillance" . All the while my lad had pictures of the family children in his wall. I lost all respect for them from that day. That supposed men of rank and honour knew this was happening and did nothing so they could pick up their fat pensions. They were complicit !

More Questions than Answers
A fascinating insight into the events at Deepcut Barracks. The accounts provided certainly raised more unanswered questions and left me astounded at times. My heart goes out to the families of the deceased and this podcast really left me feeling they deserve some justice. Shocking accounts of events in the uniformed service at those times. Saddening
A really engaging account which was well narrated.

Very one sided
The story of these young men and woman is incredibly tragic and there were some institutional failures, however it is clear Sutton has an agenda and this is incredibly one sided and makes huge assumptions.

Started off well but declined
Firstly no one should have to go through the sudden suicide/death of a family member. The podcast started off well and was an interesting and infuriating (because of the suggested frustrating lapses in protocol) listen. But…..as it goes on it seems like they have run out of ideas and revert to family stories. There are always two sides to a story and I’d like a more balanced look to form a true view.
