Allowed me to understand myself

It's ironic that a procrastinator would read this book. I was first thinking "How much could there be to say on the topic?" It's an incredibly insightful read. It seems procrastination has a depth to it we often overlook. Studying that depth and learning awareness can help us make positive changes in our life. I'm getting there! Thanks

Makes Notes and Act on Them

Very important to get this book if you are a procrastinator like me. I would recommend taking detailed notes from the book and implementing them stage by stage. The most important for me was the ability to come to terms with only doing "30 minutes of quality work" per day as a start. It will help you to reassess your mental blocks when working

Five Stars

A complex problem defined in a simple way. The authors have provided techniques and examples on how to manage or overcome procrastination on many levels. From the generic to clinically diagnosed causes, the topic of procrastination, as they explain, is more complex and more intricate then first thought. A fantastic read and helpful information to manage, if not overcome procrastination.

Get Moving to Overcome Procrastination!

Excellent! Steps to overcoming procrastination that actually are working for me! I especially appreciate his comment on p 29 “I began writing that Feelings Journal as a kind of self-constructed ladder, to help me climb a path of self-discovery and betterment. Yes, it takes effort to write but the payoff is more than worthy of the effort. “I continued writing in my journal and as time passed, I accumulate enough material to begin looking back at what I had written, and this presented me with an opportunity to observe the ways and patterns in which my mind worked.” This is only one insight in any book full of good stuff. Thank you David Parker for “The More You Do, The Better You Feel.”

Buy it! listen it! Do More and Feel Better

Great book -- I see immediate application for the J.O.T. methodology that Robert Stone so clearly outlines. His courageous willingness to share his personal journey will resonate with procrastinators and the people who love them, work with them. Do NOT skip Part 1 (tempting because you want to get to the how-to-fix-this part). I am not a procrastinator in most parts of my life (not going to lie about that daily exercise). I am a Certified Organizer Coach and work with adults who have executive function challenges around planning, decision-making, use of time, and getting started on that ever-growing to-do list. This book was recommended by a client so I knew it would be worth my reading time! If procrastination is keeping you down, buy it, read it, Do More, and Feel Better.

mind-blowing

Absolutely worth reading and implementing. In two 10-minute chunks, I cleared up messes in three rooms that had been distressing me and "overwhelming" me for days. After doing the JOT for just three days, I "unplugged" the bottled up "need to's" of at least two months, made decisions, got things moving on at least three or four fronts that had been stymied. It's *liberating*! Really astonishing. This book will help you dejunk your attitude, your thoughts, your house and your life, AND you'll feel great and enjoy your leisure because all the haff-tas aren't crushing your spirit.

It's very helpful

This book helped me to the work I needed before things got out of hand. Most of us do this in a few ways in our life. I think if you're a reader who needs some help that's more guided than, "just do it" you will find this helpful.

great advice

I read this as a companion book to The Now Habit by Neil Fiore a few months ago, and in combination, I'm finally getting a handle on managing all the things I want to do. I've revisited my notes again and again and am using the strategies that work for me daily.

Excellent, Invaluable Resource

This has to be the best book on managing your time I've ever read. It's not just tips and time management, it helps you understand what you're doing and why getting to the source of the problem so you're more self-aware during the act. As any procrastinator knows, time management is not the real problem, not entirely. It helps you target the ways you procrastinate and different types of procrastinators, from those who are perfectionists to those who passive-aggressively procrastinate to feel like they have more control over their time.

Pleasantly surprised on the effectiveness of this

I have been so, so, so much more productive in the last few months. I was trying to figure out why and it donned on me it was this book! For the first time in my life, I find myself stopping to see why I'm procrastinating on something. It may not sound like a big thing but that one act of figuring out what it is that is preventing me from doing what I need/want to do enables me to actually do it! Even the fact that I'm actually filling out a review just shows you that I'm not procrastinating any more (I always say I'm going to leave a review for any product I buy on Amazon since its the reviews that help me in purchasing products - you know - give back).
