Summary

An outcast princess, a dangerous goddess, a mysterious iceman and a half-demon.

Royal blood is potent. But 18-year-old Evie Mor is unaware of the power she carries.

Abandoned by her parents to be raised by centaurs, and unsure how to use her magic, she eagerly awaits the day she can leave the sacred forests and reunite with the humans.

However, on the morning of her departure, she learns a horrific truth that leaves her questioning her true identity.

Frustrated, but taught not to question the will of the gods, Evie travels deep into perilous lands in search of her birth mother.

Along the way she accidentally frees a dangerous goddess, befriends a mysterious iceman, and meets a magic-wielding nymph.

But threads of betrayal and corruption run deeper than Evie imagined. As she faces trials and tribulations, she questions everything she’s assumed to be true...

Welcome to the land of Labraid, a war-torn world where demons rise and the gods and goddesses toy with the desires of humans.

Fans of coming of age fantasy, the chosen one trope, wild plot twists and slow burn romance will enjoy this dark fantasy.

Almost impossible quest

Evie is a Princess abandoned as a baby by her parents under the protection and guidance of the Centaurs, to train as a warrior until she is 18. Evie has always known that once of age she must leave the comfort of her home to reclaim the Kingdom that once belonged to her family. An impossible task for most she leaves with trepidation and naivety to the Land of Man.

This is not a Disney Princess story. Evie's reality once leaving the Centaurs is a harsh lesson to learn. She has never walked amongst humans before and doesn't know whom to trust and how to find her way. Along the way she encounters evil witches, mythical creatures, and quickly finds out that what she was led to believe about her bloodline was far from the truth. Evie is mislead falling into danger on many occasion, however she has magic, guts and determination on her side. Her journey is fraught with danger, somehow she gets through it but not without great loss, it makes for a compelling read. This is not a fast paced action packed book but it does have lots of magic and mystery which you can't wait to unfold.
