Summary

Honor and duty are not always black and white - and when self-styled patriots take up arms against the government, the price of honor may be a life.

Blair Powell and Jane Graves have much in common and even more that sets them apart in an invisible battle raging on home soil. Blair's father is the president of the United States while Jane's is a domestic terrorist bent on bringing about a new world order at the expense of the present one. When Blair takes to the campaign trail to support her father's reelection, Cameron Roberts and the newest members of Blair's security detail must protect the president and his daughter from foes bent on revenge. Needed to be longer.

My feeling is the story needed to be longer. I liked that the main original characters were involved from the Honor series. And I liked the new characters for the love new romance interest. But felt it fell short in both areas. The new romance was not developed for long enough and finished quickly without any conflict, or even a "I <3 you" moment - maybe that's the next book. The Cam, Blair interactions did not travel on a long enough roller-coaster to hold strong intrigue. This leaves the suspense as part and the threat from the villain on the President. Here it was very well done, and the writing in this book is very inventive, crisp and detailed around this plot. Radclyffe continues to grow in this area, as a thriller writer, with a nice twist to the ending. But as a romance it felt it needed more. The narrator Abby Craden did an excellent job, and her style and voice works very well with this series, able to cover both the harsh villains, action, and tender moments,.

Fantastic chapter in the Honor Series

Radclyffe is one of the most prolific authors. This feels like it might be the end to a wonderful series. Abby Craden has done a fantastic performance. So far... I haven't listened to anything either of them has done.

I’m so sad that this series has ended but it was an awesome journey, I loved getting to know all the characters. The storyline though out the 9 books was well put together and as for Abby Craden she is one of my favorite narrators well done

Awesome!

This book is a nice wrap up to the series. Book 8 got a little confusing, but listening to oath of honor before book 8 helps. I know this is for book 9 but I already reviewed 8 before I found oath. We see more new characters in this book that are sweet, and sexy, and so fun to listen to. I deeply enjoyed the whole series and definitely will return to it.

Oh Radclyffe, why end it here?!!

There is so much to love about this series and this book in particular. New characters, new challenges, edge of your seat suspense and justice served? You'll just have to listen to see. It was this particular book that I truly appreciated Abby Craden. Her narration made these audio books so much more than they would be as novels. She nailed each character and by the end I felt like I knew Cam and Blair personally. Like I could walk into a party and know who they were by their demeanor and their voice. It's pretty amazing when a narrator can do that for a book/series. I give her 5+ stars. Radclyffe weaves another excellent tale and her portrayal of women falling in love is addictive. It gives me hope that relationships actually do maintain a healthy sex life. My only criticism is that all the characters are the same when it comes to body type. All lean, strong, sexy, amazingly beautiful...I suppose in a series that highlights women in the secret service that makes sense. But the world is full of a grand variety of women who don't fit that mold, who are just as deserving of falling in love and having a hot sex life. I'd love to see something different in Radclyffe's arsenal. She's an excellent writer and weaver of stories. I'm sure she's capable :)

loved this series!

I loved this series. It was very hard to put down once I started listening. There was a couple of times though I felt like it was to much conspiracy, but Radcliffe was able to pull it off and have it flow nicely together.
