Story
Essential CISM has been written with a single goal in mind - to present the CISM material in a way that is easy to absorb without leaving any content behind. Plenty of examples are included to drive the points home so that when it comes time to take the CISM exam, you are ready! The book is broken down into two sections. Section 1 covers basic concepts you will need to understand before hitting each domain. The CISM official exam guide is redundant across the domains, and so in this book you will encounter each topic once instead of having to rehash the same subject in different ways.

Story
Our attention has never been as overwhelmed or in demand as it is today; we've never been so busy while accomplishing so little, and we've grown uncomfortable with boredom and a lack of stimulation and distraction. In Hyperfocus, Chris Bailey - described by TED.com as 'the most productive man you could ever hope to meet' - provides profound insights into how we can best manage our attention. He reveals how the brain switches between two mental modes - hyperfocus, our deep concentration mode, and scatterfocus, our creative, reflective mode - and how the surest path to being our most creative and efficient selves at work is to combine them both.

Good content could be organized better
Good content but difficult to move around in the domains bc the sections within the domain aren’t broken out. As such it’s difficult to listen to specific topics of interest. If you want to listen all the way through this is fine but for someone interested in specific areas it’s not useful.

Excellent as primary source I used to pass exam
Gwen’s way of explaining the key areas of the CISM were ingrained through repeated listening of this audio book. Her methods of associating what items are important to know and ensuring connections with knowledge needed for the test were relatable. The content was top rated though there were minor non-content errors. Gwen also has a faster speaking style that required me to dial down the speed to about 0.8x. Nevertheless, I would not post a positive review of her material if they were in fact consequential to the benefit of the true knowledge you will gain for your CISM prep. I would highly recommend using this along with the Pocket Prep - CISM Module (which Gwen also took part) where a vast majority of what I effectively used to pass the exam.

Definitely helped me pass!
This is such a great book and helped me prepare and pass my CISM this past week. I chose the audio book option which made it easy to get through the material while driving to and from work. I've taken other training from Gwen and she has such a great way of explaining material and relating it to everyday situations. There are over 120 practice questions which are great and help get you into the right mind frame for the exam. It was a little difficult completing the practice questions with the audio book but I managed. Highly recommend!
