Summary

She’s got your job. She wants your life....

When Katherine first meets her new intern Lily, she’s captivated. Young, beautiful and confident, Lily reminds Katherine of everything she once was - and it’s not long before she develops a dark fascination with her new colleague. But is Lily as perfect as she seems, or does she have a sinister hidden agenda? As Katherine is drawn into an obsessive power struggle with the intern, a disturbing picture emerges of two women hiding dark secrets - and who are desperate enough to do anything to come out on top....

Breathlessly addictive and deeply unsettling, That Woman is a thriller like no other. Taut, terrifying and with shocking twists at every turn, it will keep you guessing until the very last minute.

Perfect for anyone who loved Lucy Foley’s The Hunting Party, Harriet Tyce’s Blood Orange and Samantha Downing’s My Lovely Wife.

FANTASTICALLY DARK

BREATHTAKING
Things get pretty dark in this uncomfortable tale of generational rivalry.
I couldn’t stop listening to this warped story wondering which character, Katherine or Lily would get the upper hand.
When I was working for a certain ‘high-class’ magazine in the noughties the only interns who would go on to paid employment were the ones with parents rich enough to financially support them, sometimes for years. Nepotism was rife and alcohol was obligatory, so any self made editor had to work hard and party harder, so the characters of Katherine Ross, and Lily Lunt/Fretwell were very familiar to me.
I don’t want to give anything away so I will just say, if you enjoy a dark, gripping, slightly creepy page turner look no further.

What an absolute rollercoaster!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Very modern tale based on the 20 somethings challenging the 40 somethings about their habits and morals in life.
The difference between the two generations in the office environment is put under the microscope. Conflicting views from office etiquette to entitled starts in life are scrutinised and nothing is left undisputed, no stone is left unturned.
With sneaky Sabotage and angry revenge thrown into this beauty it makes it an absolute masterpiece in my eyes. I just loved it.

Fab premise, good start, then went off the rails

Could have been so good but soon the shiny exciting people became mired in depression and sleazy ways to make ends meet ... as the characters developed into very unlikeable, unhappy and frankly grim women I tuned out. Odd to say the least and just so very unlikely ... and dull... could not care about what happened to any of them. YAWN!
