Summary

For most people, if they hear the word addiction, they would automatically think about drugs like heroin or meth. The truth is though, there are many more addictions out there that are just as dangerous, and porn is one of them. Porn addiction can cause the same problems with drug addiction, and it can be difficult to give up.

Being addicted to porn is a behavioral addiction and is characterized by a growing compulsion to view pornographic material or content. People who suffer from a porn addiction used to have to satisfy their cravings by storing and viewing pornographic photos, magazines, and videos. They now have tools readily available to feed their addiction - thanks to the Internet. This allows them to have unlimited access to porn at any level of explicitness.

An even bigger problem is that people do not view porn on the same level as drugs. They think it’s just a nasty habit that cannot cause any real problems. It can and does. This audiobook will help you with:

  • Identifying a problem
  • Choosing treatment
  • The process of recovery
  • How to deal with relapse
  • And much more

Nobody should suffer from the negative side effects of any addiction. Get help today by listening to this audiobook. This audiobook is also helpful if you want to help somebody else. The important thing is to make sure that they want help because if they do not, they will not be open to your help.

I deeply thank the author for writing this book

It has COMPLETELY changed my mind about how I now view porn and was the one missing piece I needed to quit this horrible addiction. The author has quit himself, and gives you a complete map on how to quit and create results. The amount of information covered in this short audiobook is exceptional, and will completely change how you view and react to porn.

Again, I now only masturbate one time a week, Monday, and only to my imagination. Every area of my life has improved. Since I've quit porn and excess PMO I've cured my depression, anxiety, fybromyalgia, chostochindritis, fatigue, and its Syndrome (all of which were too painful to discuss in this review). This book has quite literally saved my life, and I know it can do the same for you. I deeply thank the author for writing this book, and thank God for putting it in front of me.

very helping for folks struggling with a porn ad..

Have found this audiobook very, very helping for folks struggling with a porn addiction. One of my friends was married to someone battling the porn addiction. I borrowed this book from her to help understand what she and her husband were going through, and it was extremely helpful. It helped to provide a context and helpful advice.

The content is very nonjudgmental

A great way to approach a problem that no one in the therapy field talks about. The content is very nonjudgmental. I'm a therapist and have many male clients wrestling with this subject. The synthetic knowledge in my field has a very hands off approach to this topic and answer client's concerns with the tactic of normalization in attempt to not sound as (heaven forbid) moral. I think anyone with a concern about this subject, and all therapists, should listen to this book.

If you are looking to quit masturbation and...

If you have ever tried to quit porn and masturbation for good, then you know is NOT EASY (too say the very least). After trying to quit PMO for about 9 years now, I've tried just about every trick in the book, accountability charts, accountability buddies, affirmations, willpower, you name it I've done it.

I can honestly say I was/ am a recovering FULL BLOWN porn-addict, releasing my energy multiple times a day and ruining the first half of my life, no different than someone addicted to opiates, cocaine, or drugs. My symptoms were severe depression, isolation, anxiety, extreme fatigue, brain fog, insomnia, guilt, resentment, no friends, zero sex, and an overall feeling of lack of self-control. I was helpless in so many ways due to this raven and destructive addiction.

If you are looking to quit masturbation and can relate to me in any way, then please I URGE YOU to buy this audiobook. It only takes an hour and a half to listen to and will open your eyes to everything you've ever thought about porn.

stay away from porn addiction when the urge kicks

This is a very controversial subject in the psychological community. Many feel there is no such thing as sex addiction because it doesn’t meet the criteria of other addictions. This is by far one of the best on the subject - with a very simple explanations and tons of very helpful information. I find it helpful to listen in order to stay away from porn addiction when the urge kicks in.

potential of truly helping a dedicated person

This audiobook woke me up and changed my entire perspective. It begins by clearly spelling out the many negative consequences of habitually using porn, which needs to be clarified and comprehended by porn users as they begin their journey to recover.

I think this audiobook has the potential of truly helping a dedicated person overcome compulsive use of porn.

very accessible and encouraging

The audiobook is very accessible and encouraged me to genuinely face up to a problem that's very easy to keep hidden away, from myself included. This audiobook helped me understand the scale of the trap I had fallen into and with that most important knowledge the user can then start taking control of their lives again.

explaining the nature and course of porn addiction

The author succeed in explaining the nature and course of porn addiction, and point the way (non-judgmentally) toward recovery and the pursuit of healthy fulfillment. Like alcohol, porn may be fun and educational for those not prone to addiction, but deadly for those who are, and the internet has made it all too convenient.

help your understand the problem

This gets right to the heart of the problem in clearly written prose. It is practical, which many others filled with theory and history of the problem are not. It help your understand the problem from your own life experience and can give you the self understanding to know how you got addicted and what you need to do to get past the fastest growing addiction in this country, if not the world.
