Thoroughly enjoyed this novel, which is the third in the series. Appealing characters; storyline that holds interest & keeps you guessing. I also liked the layout of the storyline where the author intermittently returns to earlier periods of time to explain the background of what & why the characters acted as they did. I am hoping there will be a fourth novel in the series.

I had forgotten how good this series is after a break and now waiting patiently for the next book.

it is so refreshing to read a police procedural where the main character is not covered in angst apart from the brothers murder. I really like how sam the partner is brought more into it.

the crime itself is complex with lots of trusts and turns. it just kept me involved and I just needed to keep listening.
