About this listen
From the mean streets of Detroit rises the newest superstar of professional wrestling, Xavier Cold, better known as Phenomenal X. His muscular physique makes men cower before him and women lose their minds with desire. Anna Cortez is fresh out of college and naïve to the harsh realities of the real world. Tired of living under the thumb of her conservative family, she defies them when she accepts a job as the assistant to wrestling's most notorious bad boy. Phenomenal X has an animalistic nature that even good girl Anna finds hard to resist. Forced to share a bed in a sold-out hotel, lines blur between them, and they quickly learn that one lustful night changes everything. Neither one of them will ever be the same. Contains mature themes.

This is the first romance book that I have ever read about Wrestling, not the college wrestling but the wrestling you see on TV..Where it is all full of drama and rivalries..
..And Yes this book does have the drama rivalries and other things too.
Ana meets Xavier unexpectedly on a Flight,Anna is fleeing from her father she needs to escape from her family because of the control they have over her...She has also broken up from her fiance, she didn't love him they were forced by their famlies to be together and Ana has just had enough.
So she is on a plane to live with her auntie and cousin,as soon as she sees Xavier step onto the plane she is taken aback by how handsome he is and how powerful he looks.
Xavier Cold Is a professional Wrestler aka Phenomenal X and when he locks eyes with Ana there is an instant spark between them.
So when they end up sitting next to eachother they flirt, they get on really well and Xavier makes her a proposition to Ana to spend the night with him.
Ana has no idea who Xavier is and she refuses his advances, but fate has other plans for them because they are meant to be in eachothers lives.
Anyway they do meet again and become really good friends even though they are incredibly attracted to eachother which does get in the way of their friendship.
Xavier has a past though which has scarred his life forever and I felt so sad when the flashbacks to those days play out.
How he blamed himself for all that happened and how he was made to feel responsible even though he was only a small child...He has a lot of rage and anger inside him waiting to be unleashed.
Ana has also had issues with her family they are very religious and restrictive with their rules,I think Ana is very brave to find the courage to leave her family,And I don't think Ana expected the big wide world she was sheilded from to be as difficult as it was.
But she did find Xavier which is a big bonus I loved Xavier he is super sexy, playful and protective Ana is perfect for Xavier she calms the storm inside of him.
The story takes some unexpected turns and Ana ends up working for him and that is when things get spicy and dramatic.
Now this is a duet which I didn't know about, so this books ends on a cliffhanger and I couldn't believe it, so I will have to buy book 2 so I know how it all plays out between Ana and Xavier because the future does not look good.
This audiobook is perfectly narrated by Alexandria Wilde and Sean Crisden and they do such a fantastic job telling this story...They are very expressive with their voices and so all the emotions that were needed for the characters were done great.
I enjoyed listening to their voices as they brought this story to life.
I loved Michelle A Valentine's writing she has created a really intriguing and addictive world to escape into. She wrote the wrestling scenes so good it was like you are there it was exciting and I loved it.
A Brilliant Story and Amazing audiobook.
5 Stars.
Spicy wrestling fun.
