I wrote this mnemonic guide as an audiobook first to help you remember pharmacology drug names and principles quickly. While in the classroom your professors might say memorization doesn't matter, but you can't bring outside material to the board exam, so for this test, you do need to work on memory training. You already know the consequences of failing a class or board exam, so let's make sure that doesn't happen by getting pharmacology organized in your head once and for all.

His subjects include the largely forgotten female pioneer who introduced smallpox inoculation to Britain, the infamous knockout drops, the first antibiotic, which saved countless lives, the first antipsychotic, which helped empty public mental hospitals, Viagra, statins, and the new frontier of monoclonal antibodies. Summary
If you find pharmacology exciting but confusing...this audiobook will eliminate the confusion!
Do you need help with understanding or memorizing pharmacology?
Or maybe you’re just interested in how medicines work and need a reliable source of information?
This pharmacology audiobook is exactly what you need!
Pharmacology is the science that studies how drugs work and how they’re processed by the body. It studies both natural and man-made drugs - in fact, any substance that has an effect on the functioning of a living organism.
If you’re a medical student, you’re supposed to take pharmacology classes as part of your education. However, pharmacological knowledge can benefit every person - after all, each of us becomes sick from time to time!
If you’re not at medical school, you’ll need the basics of pharmacology to understand drug inserts and talk to your doctor about different treatment options. This kind of knowledge is empowering because you’re no longer blindly accepting your doctor’s decisions but actively discussing them.
Pharmacology is an exciting science, but it can also get very complicated. This is why you need a really clear and concise audiobook that will explain all the key concepts - an audiobook like this one.
Here’s what you’ll learn:
- The mechanisms that make medicines work
- The journey of a drug from intake to elimination
- How to evaluate the toxicity of drugs
- Surprising facts about popular medicines
- And much more!
Of course, listening to this audiobook won’t make you as competent as your doctor, but it will help you understand how you’re treated. And if you’re a medical student, you can use this audiobook for learning new material or revising your existing knowledge.
Are you ready to boost your knowledge of pharmacology?

Sham - narrated by computer and content is poor
The description states the book is read by one ‘Robert Bose’ but it’s clearly read by some sort of text-to-speech computer. The book is riddled with typos, mistakes, and is near unlistenable and is not as described. This book has very little clinical pharmacology. Audible refunded me this purchase.

Absolutely no correct gramma what so ever, the narrator stresses the wrong word in each sentence and has the most ridiculous "dramatic" voice for the subject matter. Making the audiobook a challenge to understand let alone learn anything from. A phenomenal mistake from the writer, narrator and whoever proof read this. Absolutely tragic please remove this book!

Waste of a credit
The text is horribly written containing constant, yes constant grammatical errors. Disagreement between tense, plural versus singular, and apparent spelling errors ad nauseam. They also inappropriately use the word "the" in front of every stinking noun, ie. the humans, the pharmacology, etc. For example, this drug had an effect in the humans and started the science of the pharmacology. Throw in mispronounced terms narrated by the YouTube robo voice and you get this unlistenable steaming heap. Seriously, this is the kind of project an undergrad fighting to make a C would turn in. I'm not sure who was paid to give all these 5 star reviews, but shame on them. This is an unlistenable waste of money and time.

This audiobook makes memorizing drugs very easy by taking a system-by-system approach and providing the reader with memorization techniques for each drug. Guerra also has an elaborate understanding of the roots an stems of each drug class and how the drug names are created. The explanation of the origin of the drug names and the roots that they have in common have been very helpful to me when learning these drugs.

This audio book was simple and good enough for any beginners out there getting into the pharmacology reviews. I got this audio book after my pharmacology class and I already knew a majority of the drugs.
