Brought to life by Academy Award®-winning actor F. Murray Abraham and an ensemble cast of narrators, and featuring original music by Michael Bacon, this collection contains Hans Christian Andersen’s most beloved fairy tales, as well as a selection of lesser-known favorites. Unlike the Brothers Grimm, who collected and retold folklore and fairy tales, Hans Christian Andersen adopted the most ancient literary forms and distilled them into a genre that was uniquely his own. His fairy tales are remarkable for their sense of fantasy, power of description, and vivid imagination.

The best dramatisation ever made
I loved this version of Peter Pan when I was a child and was delighted to find it again. The actors are perfect for their parts, the script it fantastic (a rara avis in adaptation as it retains the pure magic of the original book), humourous, dramatic and deeply moving (impossible not to well up at Tinkerbell's devotion) I recommend it to everyone.

It was fun
I liked it...But some of the actors were anmoying. Like Peter Pan, for instance. He it nothing like I thought Peter Pan would sound like, and he was too loud, which put me off of the audiobook. Sorry, it's just my opinion. 😩

Even though the story is excellent, I will not recommend this for young children because the performers use a British accent which young Americans (5-7 year olds) could not comprehend. We had to pause and translate all the to the end.
