About this listen

They came to earth—Pestilence, War, Famine, Death—four horsemen riding their screaming steeds, racing to the corners of the world. Four horsemen with the power to destroy all of humanity. They came to earth, and they came to end us all.

When Pestilence comes for Sara Burn’s town, one thing is certain: everyone she knows and loves is marked for death. Unless, of course, the angelic-looking horseman is stopped, which is exactly what Sara has in mind when she shoots the unholy beast off his steed.

Too bad no one told her Pestilence can’t be killed.

Now the horseman, very much alive and very pissed off, has taken her prisoner, and he’s eager to make her suffer. Only, the longer she’s with him, the more uncertain she is about his true feelings towards her, and hers towards him.

And now, well, Sara might still be able to save the world, but in order to do so, she'll have to sacrifice her heart in the process.

Adapted from the novel and produced with a full cast of actors, immersive sound effects and cinematic music!

Performed by Jessica Threet, Gabriel Michael, Barbara Pinolini, Gregory Linington, JW Rone, Gail Shalan, Matthew Bassett, Peter Holdway, Wyn Delano, Mark Harrietha, Bradley Foster Smith, Donald Guzzi, Drew Kopas, Laura C. post apocalyptic enemies to lovers, with soulful rich narration. I find Thalassa's stories to have a beautiful simplicity. The balance of violence, softness and yearning is nicely done. I adore the narration of this book, Pestilence is otherworldly and Sara is relatable and authentic.

I really did enjoy this book, it's one of those that grips you and holds tight if you're willing to see more than the surface allows. I loved that although it is a slow burn both main characters were together and you're not waiting an age for them to be in the vicinity of eachother.
It's a lovely, touching story that brings tears and understanding, I would definitely read again.
The narrators did a great job as Gabriel Michael always does, The female MC was equally as good as him. I love graphic audios they make a story so much better.
The spice is good no complaints but I don't think this story is solely about their love, it's offers much more complex things to mule over.
I hope the next book is just as good as this.

This book is outstanding, you won't regret it.

I wasn't too sure whether or not I would like this audiobook but after listening to it, then it's very good and I wonder what the other audiobooks in the series will sound like. This is a typical GA production so there's no negative points at all to talk about.

I Wasn't Too Sure Before I Listen To It But.....
