Summary

Willa Knight: Dweller? Bad-ass? Notorious pet to five magical beings? In Blesswood, there are rules, and someone is trying to teach her how to follow them. The only problem is Willa. Which shouldn’t be anything new, since she has been a problem since birth — something her pseudo-sister Emmy would agree on. So it definitely shouldn’t be new, but it is. Because things are starting to happen that have never happened before. Things are starting to get chaotic.

Where's the next installement already???

I loved this book, where's the next one?!?!?!?

Willa's relationship with the boys is endearing despite being completely atypical of a normal relationship. Willa Toy / Dweller baby is an oddity to all but a very likable honest character who takes quirky and weird to a whole new level.

I have a feeling we are still yet to fully realise what she actually is. And I would imagine when we do it will be a bit of a shock to all and she will gain some much deserved respect.

I feel each brother should have his own book I want to know more about each one.....I'm sad the next instalment isn't recoded as yet.

I'd also love to see a book on the "Jeffrey's" just because I find them really rather odd. Its like a Harry Potter "Dobby" character to the gods. I want them to rebel also as the structure of the dwellers / Sols / Gods is odd.

Basically I want more....as I found them light hearted and enjoyable to listen to whilst decorating my house. Very easy to dip in and out of but just as easy to get hooked on as Willa is such a funny feisty character.

Another great story/audio

read this book already and got excited when I learned it was available on audiobook, but some of my favourite books have been read by narrators that I just could not listen to so there was also some aprehension as well

My concerns were null and void, the narrator is AWESOME! She really brought this amazing story to life, her voice IS Willa! The quality is clear as a bell with no weird background noises and her voices for the other characters are excellent and slip in seamlessly

I highly recommend this book and the audio, it's lovely to listen to, relaxing, soothing, exciting and draws you deep I to the story, I very highly recommend

Awesome series - can't wait for the next book

Persuasion is the second book in the Curse of the Gods series and it's just as good and funny as the first. Vanessa Moyen does a great job with the narration and perfectly brings chaotic Willa's character to life, with the Abcurse brothers close behind. She differentiates between the voices well so you can tell who's speaking and made it a joy to listen to. Will definitely listen to this again. 5 stars!

Hooked on these books

The narrator is amazing the way she reads the story to you. I catch myself laughing out loud. I put my ear buds in and close my eyes and I'm in a whole other world. I just can't get enough.

A little too much tension

I’m really enjoying this series. There’s a lot of humour and a lot of love flying around, though maybe the unsatisfied sexual tension is starting to grate a little. If I were to give it a rating like movies and tv shows, this would definitely be PG. I sincerely hope it matures soon.

The only regret I have is not waiting until the entire series is complete before starting it.

VM changed a couple of her character voices this time. She has given Yale a gruff, gravelly voice while Cohen’s has become a little lighter in pitch.

This book... yes. Yes yes yes. Joy. Love. Excitement. Thrills. Hilarity. Reverse harem for the damn win. Please please release book 3 on audible. And I can't believe we have to wait for Book 4 and 5 still... this is torture!!!!!

The Abcurse brother’s voices are too gruff.

The Abcurse brother’s voices are too gruff. They just don’t sound like gorgeous gods. The narrator needs to stop trying to make her voice so low.

Narration might be lacking but the story is worthy

I loved the first book and was pumped to see the second one came out. I only wish they got someone who sounded a little more mature.

I loved this book!

So it has taken me some time to realize that these books are unique and defiantly take time to grow on you. I laughed out loud during Trickery, the first book but considered not listening to the second. I think the absurdity of it all and the heroine being so juvenile almost made me give up. I always read prior to letting my teenager read them and she won’t be reading these. They may seem young adult but moved into torching hot pretty quick. I adore the narrator and think her voice is perfect for Willa. Keep going! I have #5 on preorder.

2nd book is just as good

This book is just as good as the first. I laughed a lot and flew through it. The bad reviews don't have it all wrong, the h is really clumsy and comes across as a bit dumb, but I'm still enjoying the books so far. I don't know why. It just works for me. The funny lines in the book are gold!

Narrator:
Vanessa Moyen -3.5 stars-Did she change her voices for the characters? Her voices for the males seem to be different from the first. She also uses a voice that sounds like a 90year old smoker for some of the guys. It seems to be worse in this book. For the males, she's often has a choppy way of reading their parts. A bit smoother would help a lot. Even with the oddball voices, she's still easy to listen to.

great book

I think the abcurse brothers changed their voices from the 1st book. A little disheartening but still good.
