I love this story, it’s one of my favourites but Mary Sarah really needs to learn proper pronunciation. The most frustrating thing is the words being mispronounced are pronounced the same in England and America!! The frustrating thing is that the words being mispronounced are used so often that is really intrudes. It’s Je-Mime-Ma not Je-Meema and it’s Dis-Par-ity not Dis-Pear-ity and oh my god it’s Ob-LIE-ged not Oblaaaaged.

Good price. It helped me to get through the story quickly for a class. The accent of the woman was a little tedious and very boring.

I add my voice, or review, to that of many others. A beautiful story with exquisite narrative and dialogue is spoilt by a poor narration.
In my opinion English classics shouldn't be read by a regional accent.
I couldn't decide if the narrator were Irish or American. Either way their voice was all wrong.

Thoroughly enjoyed Persuasion! Great value for money at .52p, although the narrator's pronunciation of "obliged" was grating!
