Patchwork is a dark family drama that hits right where it hurts.

Peter used to be Alana’s conscience. Alana used to be Peter’s voice. Once, that had been enough to get them through nearly anything, which was fortunate. Because Nearly Anything was not good.

Then, three years ago, Peter left her alone. And right up until the moment Alana finds herself snatched out of the only life she knows and slammed into a new one in an abandoned building nicknamed the Drophouse, she’s gotten pretty good at being on her own.

Or is that only what she's been telling herself?

Peter just doesn't want to lose her again. He has a promise to keep...but he has new secrets, too. Dangerous ones. And when the Drophouse very literally goes up in flames, the two are left running for their lives and their freedom. Again.

Told by reckless Alana and reserved Peter, Patchwork is an exploration of trust, love, and survival when all you have left depends on telling the right kind of lie.

Trauma, so much trauma for ones so young. I wasn’t sure what to expect after I read the blurb but as harrowing as this story is, these characters are survivors. A highly emotional book with a great performance.
